Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy Package says they are to last seven days. In fact, in one year, five of the eight we bought have gone bad. They are being used in a fixture indicated on the package that they are to work in. Bought many different lights but these are with out question, the worst of the worst. August 24, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 6 out of 6 dead in a year My mother purchased 3 packages of these bulbs (so 6 bulbs total). I can confirm that they take about 2 minutes in 90F degree weather to "warm up" to full brightness (almost 5 minutes in colder weather). Prior to warming up, you're looking at about the equivalent brightness of a 15 watt incandescent bulb (a real treat when you walk into a room to grab something quickly and can't see anything for 2 minutes). The last two just died, with the first ones dying a mere 3 months after use. I can accept one or two dying as statistically flawed outliers, but 6 out of 6? No, these bulbs are manufactured poorly. If you are thinking of buying these because of their attractive price, don't. I'll level with you, I hate CFL bulbs. The only ones that I've found halfway decent are much more expensive, to the point that you might as well go with LED. LED's last longer, save more power, and are much much closer to the old incandescent bulbs. I replaced the bulbs with Cree 60w LED (Home Depot Store SKU # 1000003071) for about 7 dollars a bulb and love them. More expensive than these bulbs, but no more expensive than a good CFL bulb. So to summarize: tl;dr: -Bulbs take about 2 (warm weather) to 5 (cold weather) minutes to reach full brightness. 15W incandescent equivalent brightness until then. -6 out of 6 bulbs died between 3 and 12 months. -Not worth the price... incandescent bulbs were more reliable. -Get a CREE LED bulb instead. No "warm up" time and about as expensive as a good CFL but uses less power. -If you insist on rolling the dice and buying these, keep the packaging and receipt. I'm 90% sure the warranty is pointless, and not worth it if you have to mail the bulbs back at your own expense. January 25, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Purchase Purchased four of these bulbs and 2 of the four burnt out in 6 months. Tried calling the Ecosmart customer service number and it is a non working number. Long lasting? Absolutely not. August 17, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst CFL bulb I have TRIED to use Very temperamental until their complete failure. Often had to tap on bulb for it to energize. While they still worked, they start out very dim until they warmed up. Both bulbs in the package have now failed many many hours before their rated life. Not a good value at all. December 9, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by They do not last. Burn out too soon Do NOT buy. I purchased 2 and they both burned out too soon. Cheap light bulbs. September 27, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Short life I got longer life out of my old incandescent bulbs. Not worth the money. April 30, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This is garbage. Burnt out in less than 1 year. Dont buy this junk. July 5, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by poor lifespan I installed four of these and after 1.5 years all four have failed. I called the manufacturer and they refused to honor their 7-year warranty even though I have all the original packaging and bulbs. Very poor quality, poor lifespan, and poor customer service.
