Since this bulb is only available online and sold out on line and a Home Depot product, please let me know an equivalent so that I may replace my bulbs. I have a burnt out bulb, which is hard to believe as we only installed it last year!!

Please advise, thank you.

50W Equivalent Soft White (2700K) R20 Dimmable CFL Light Bulb is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Is 80% percent good? Re-did my kitchen last year and installed 10 of these bulbs. I do not agree with other statements on how these bulbs flicker or hum when put on a low dim. I do however agree that these do not have a large dimming range, however I wouldn't want them to go much lower. Too low and it could be dangerous in the kitchen. One year later 2 of the bulbs have burnt out and I needed to replace them. They claim to last about 7 years, so take that for what it is worth.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy I purchased four of these r20 cf bulbs to use in my living room and needed something dimmable I wanted to replace the halogen ones that put out so much heat, and be energy efficient. They say they are dimmable and I have the Phillips r30 cfb’s in my kitchen, so I thought these would work great too. As like the Phillips I turn them on full and then dim them down. They worked great for the first two weeks and then they started to flicker if they were dimmed down much at all. Now in the fourth week two just burned out and one is flickering even when all the way up. Bottom line; do not waist your money on these bulbs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice bulb, but not good for dimming This bulb has a nice light color for a CFL, but the dimming ability is very poor. Like all dimmable fluorescent bulbs, it creates a noticeable buzzing sound when dimmed (no sound at full brightness). The noise is not a major problem when used at some distance (e.g. ceiling), but these bulbs have another problem: when dimmed below about 50%, they produce a noticeable strobe effect. And yes, I did use a dimmer switch designed for CFLs. I also adjusted the brightness dial over the full range with minimal improvement. Only use if you need slight dimming.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Zero quality control I bought a set of four Ecosmart R20 Dimmable Flood CFL bulbs. None of them lasted more than a month before they started flashing on and off and then eventually stopped working altogether. I only wish they went out at the same time so that I would not have bothered to return and exchange them for the same worthless product. Total garbage. Why does Home Depot still sell these as the consensus seems to be that they are not worth buying?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Buying a light bulb is not the simple task it used to be Needed an incancescent flood, so I decided to replace all three in my fixture with CFL's. This is the only dimmable bulb I could find that fit into the base. The bulbs accent artwork on the walls nicely and provide plenty of ambient light. No problem with dimming, buzzing, or strobing. It remains to be seen whether each bulb will save me money or last 7 years. I've kept my receipts, just in case.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from High defect rate Don't dim well so I leave on full power. Even so I have had to replace several. I will wait for LED's to come down in price or remove dimmer so I can use non dimmable bulbs. Home Depot has been great about replacing them for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Barely dimmable I bought this to replace the 40w incadencent bulbs and installed a Lutron CLF diva dimmer. Unfortunately, it does not dim at all and buzzes when at the lowest dim (if you want to call it that). very disappointed...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality and high defect rate I bought 12 of theses light bulbs about 6 - 7 months ago. I have 3 Lutron Diva Dimmable CFL/LED Dimmers (designed specifically for dimmable cfls). This bulb was listed as a compatible bulb for the dimmer so I bought it. I adjusted the dial on the dimmer to eliminate any flickering and was happy... for the first 2 months. Then, some of the light bulbs started flickering. I readjusted the dimmer but it didn't help. Within the first 3 months one of the bulbs died. I called Ecosmart customer service and although they were very helpful, and sent out a replacement bulb, they told me that if the bulbs keep dying they will not replace them. Although it seemed like a weird statement, I didn't really care because I figured I just had 1 bad bulb. Now 2 more bulbs have gone out, and several are flickering even when not dimmed which from previous experience indicated that they will soon go out completely. I called customer service, and they did send out 2 more bulbs and told me that in the future the bad bulbs need to be mailed back to them for waranty. I'm not sure if that means I will have to pay for the shipping or not, but all I know is that after spending $130 on light bulbs for one room, I expected a lot better. I think I'm just going to have to order a different brand bulb, throw out any flickering bulbs and keep the rest as backups because I don't want to be climbing a letter to replace 12 bulbs every 3 months.
