Product Overview

This high quality LED is a 60-Watt incandescent equivalent but uses only 11-Watt of energy. That means it will only cost $1.32 per year to operate the lamp and will save you $536 in energy costs over the life of the lamp. It has a warm, soft white color (2700 Kelvin), standard Edison base (E26) and is fully dimmable. It also has a color rendering index (CRI) of 90 which means it keeps colors true to how they appear in natural daylight. The lamp has a rated life of 25,000-hours which means it will last for over 22-years when used for 3-hours per day.

There appear to be three completely different models of light labeled with the same SKU (1001-370-384). Two with CRI 80 and one with CRI 90. I managed to find ES95A1960SWD4 on the shelf among the others, but the box doesn't mention the CRI value, or CEC certification.

There are 3 versions of this bulb pack, all with the same SKU # (1001370384). They are: Model #: A810SS-Q1D-01 Model #: C5A19A60WESD04 Model #: ES95A1960SWD4 I'll call them models A, C, and ES for short. As far as I can tell, A is the older model, followed by the newer C and ES models. I have purchased the A and ES models, but not the C model, so all of the information I have on that is from pictures/other sources. Here are the differences: Shape (compared to incandescent bulb): A has a traditional shape, but it is a little bit longer C looks (from pictures) like it has a traditional shape and size ES is a little bit longer and the globe is a little bit squished-looking (See picture for side-by-side comparison of models A and ES.) Average Life Expectancy: A 25k hrs C 15k hrs ES 25k hrs Instant-On: A Box states "Instant On" however, I notice a half-second delay before the bolt actually lights up C Unknown ES Yes, unlike the A model, this bulb actually turns on instantly with no perceptible delay Wattage: A 9W C 8.5W ES 11W Enclosures: A Box states "Not for Use in Totally Enclosed Fixtures" C Unknown ES Box does not state anything about enclosures (possibly means that it's okay?) Energy Star Certified: A Yes C Yes ES No Here are the things these bulb packs all have in common (even though the online product comparison might state otherwise): Color: 2700K (Soft White) Bulb Shape: A19 (Standard) Bulb Base: E26 (Standard) Brightness: 800 lumens Incandescent Equivalence: 60W Indoor Only Dimmable Shatter Resistant Same Price (at the time of writing) My review of these bulbs in general: I thing the bang-for-your-buck ratio is fantastic. They are pretty bright. They can't dim as much as incandescents, but I'd rather have a more efficient LED bulb than a power-hungry incandescent. One interesting feature is that they don't change to a more orange-y color when they dim like incandescents do (I don't know which way I prefer, but there you go). They also emit a faint humming noise when dimmed, but so do the incandescents I've used. I've had several model-A bulbs for a few months now and they are still going strong. I just got some model-ES bulbs so I can't say for sure yet but there's no indication that they'll expire any sooner. I don't know if I would recommend the C model due to its shorter average life expectancy, but the other two are great. If you want a little bit of extra energy savings, I'd recommend the A model. If you're like me and you get annoyed by the slight, half-second delay before the bulb actually turns on, I'd recommend the ES model.

The feature that stands out the most to me is how little electricity this bulb uses. The fact that you don't haveto change it for years is a plus, plus VERY important, it doesn't get hot. I bought 6 pks of 4 as I just rented a brick & mortar store and they had tons of lights that were without a bulb. PLUS I got these on a sale that made them less expensive than regular lights. It meets my expectations and then some!!
