Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by JackInDC Great lights, but with a flaw
These are terrific lights, with a couple caveats.
The good: very pleasant color, very wide light distribution, dim nicely. When I say very wide light distribution, I mean that if one of these lights is installed in a can that's 4' from a side wall, the light from this fixture will illuminate to within a couple inches of the top of the wall, which is a terrific and unusual feature overall.
The problem: in keeping with the previous point of the last paragraph, and because these lights use an indirect illumination style, they appear to be bright from across the room. If you're sitting in a chair watching TV in a room with an 8' or 9' ceiling, you will DEFINITELY see these lights out of the corner of your eye. In fact, when I first installed them in a room with 9' ceilings where people were sitting in a chair watching TV, I immediately got complaints that they were "too bright" even with a dimmer installed.
I would recommend these lights only for rooms with high ceilings (10' or more). For rooms with lower ceilings, I would suggest going with a fixture that points the light down through a frosted plastic lens so as to reflect less light to the sides.
Finally, these lights require a can that has clips inside for the tension arms to fit into. If you try to rely on the metal arms to hold the fixture in a can just through the use of friction, the fixture is going to fall out.
Overall, these are great lights

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Caitlinny Shocked that I like it so much more than I thought I would
I would have given these 4 stars because the instructions were really lacking, but I really am impressed with how much I love this light, I had to give it the full five stars. It looks really clean, gives off a great bright, but soft light.
Since I had trouble with the instructions (pictures were terrible), I'll help the rest of you out: I had to youtube to figure out what was going on. First, it comes with some weird "California compliant" insulation ring. Easy to put on, but would have been nice if they put it on to make sure it is in the exact right place. I thought this would just replace the bulb in my kitchen's recessed lights, but it actually replaces the rim as well. You need to get the recessed light down to just the metal can. Mine was attached by little wire springs. Once you get it out, you'll need to attach the "ground" wire. In mine, I was able to use the included bolt to screw it on to an existing screw. Then, to get the whole thing in, you need the wires to fit inside inside the "brackets" before you can push it up. Hoping my pictures will help other people see how to install it. Once I figured out HOW to install it, it was really easy.
Since I just installed it, I can't comment on the lifetime of this light. But I am going to go out and buy some more to replace the other lights in my kitchen!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PeteOB Cost-effective at $14 not $34 buy when they're on sale
I gave these lights at five star for value because I bought these lights on sale for $14 instead of the original price for $34 which made them much more cost-effective and I would recoup my investment in a much shorter time. The lights themselves a very contemporary and there are no bulbs per se. What gives off the light is a plastic LED light ring which is pretty neat because when you look into the light doesn't look like there's anything in there looks totally empty. Almost as simple to install as a regular lightbulb and another good feature is that they are dimmable. I would recommend them but only at the sale price.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by alwaysathomedepot Clean Installation and Warm, bright light
Light looks nice in the can fixture. No need for a can baffle since this light has the trim ring and flush light combined.
Color is rendered to be warm - incandescent in warmth.
The light spread is slightly more focused/concentrated than a CFL or Incandescent is but is not extremely different.
The installation is simple. I grounded the green wire to the can's light height adjustment wingnut. Then I screwed in the light bulb-style end to the can light. Next you use the spring clips to attach to the can brackets and push the light up, making sure the wires all stay away from any pinch points.
I am finishing a basement and tested this light against another similar product that the Home Depot offers. I bought 29 lights... that adds up! But I looked at the added cost as a wash - I get a savings that I didn't need a baffle and I gained an effecient light with a 5-year warranty.
Which one did I spend my money on? I chose the other one with similar features for the cost savings and the preferred light radiance.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MartinE 65W Soft White Dimmable LED Recessed Downlight Bulb
I installed this new light fixture in my bathroom where the old 100w light bulb use to be, very easy to install just follow the color coding on the wires and they have a nice design, low profile to ceiling lets more light radiate throughout the bathroom. No cutting necessary since the old light fixture was about the same size. The light emitted is very soft bright and you can also install with dimmer switches to add more savings on your energy bill. You don’t have replace the bulb for 20 years

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Barry LED Replacement Light
This is a light to go in an existing can and convert it from a regular light to an LED light. I haven’t had the chance to install it yet but it seems pretty easy to install. The one issue I had was that it is supposed to have a screw, a rivet and a nut with it, according to the instructions, to attach the ground wire. I didn’t find the nut in the box and the other two items were loose in the box and not in a plastic bag or anything. That is probably how the nut fell out.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HavasuFlash Excellent buy
HD had a 2pk of these on sale so bought them to add to a shower that already had 2 of the Commercial Electric version of these. Installation was easy...hardest part was figuring out where to attach the enclosed ground wire. Visually they look similar to the CE brand but rather than a flat lens these have a concave lens......when turned on they have a nice brightness and have no bright spots as do the CE brand......have 8 more of these coming and only wish I had found them sooner. As they are just recently installed I can't comment on longevity.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MOXXOM Doesn't dim well (be aware)
I love everything about these lights except the fact that the lowest setting on an appropriate dimmer switch for these leaves the light output on par with an incandescent at full brightness. The flip side is that when on full power these lights do a marvelous job illuminating a space. Unfortunately the space I imagined their use in required a low level of light for evenings and time spent relaxing, something "flood" lighting doesn't accomplish well. Otherwise, I agree with the other commenters that they are easy to install and are attractive light options.
