Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not a soft white Just installed two of these bulbs. One in my bedroom and one in the living room. The brightness is actually nice, but it is not a soft white, more like a bright white. I have different brands of energy efficient bulbs in both rooms and all are soft white and all look the same as far as brightness goes. Checked the bulbls to make sure they were in the right box and all is marked as soft white/2700. Will have to see how long they last and will probably install these in the kitchen for their brightness. November 16, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Must register Warranty in 30 Days! I bought a six pack of these. They are maybe a year old (maybe less) and my first one has already failed. If you have not registered your warranty they will do nothing to replace the bulb, even if you have your receipt. These are in my kitchen recessed lighting. When you first turn them on they are slow to brighten, which is annoying. So I had to take out two of them and put in regular spots so that I could see clearly on quick in and outs in my kitchen. These take AT LEAST a minute to get as bright as the reular spots. I gave two stars only because of the supposed energy savings....although that's hard to tell. December 20, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by They don't last. Check your warranty Purchased these in a 6 pack just about two years ago. Less than average usage and four out of six have now failed. When they fail it's like something has come loose inside. Never mind I thought - it comes with a 7 year warranty. But when you try to claim against it they tell you I should have registered them within 30 days of buying them. Even with a receipt proving they are only two years old, they won't stand behind the warranty. I guess with these going in the landfill sooner than any conventional incandescent, I was neither "Eco", nor "Smart" to buy these. July 12, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by They don't last. These bulbs last about 2 years with 4 hours per day use. I've gone through about a dozen in the last few months. These bulbs were all installed at the same time, so I think it's fair to say they are consistently poor quality. Spend a little more to get bulbs with longer life. Less expensive in the long run. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not Soft White These lamps are a great price with good light output. However, they are too blue. I put these into my kitchen recessed fixtures. As they warmed up, the light went from marginally warm to blue. My kitchen also has under cabinet fluorescents with GE kitchen and bath tubular lamps in them. The color is 3000K and they produce a nice soft white light. These claim to be 2700K, so they should be a little more yellow than my under cabinet lights, but they are not. If you want blueish lights with poor color rendering, these things are for you. December 16, 2013
