These bulbs make the perfect outdoor floodlights. I installed four of them, two on each side of the wall to illuminate my backyard. My lights were installed 17ft off the ground and the brightness is nicely spread. These bulbs are way too big and heavy for most fixtures in the house. Recommend for outdoor use and up high only.

I wasn't sure if these LED lights would mimmick my original halogen lights. I was surprised how great they perform. Great buy from Home Depot!!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by PCL2013 Short usable life
When I finished my basement, I installed can lights thoughout. A total of 18 of these light bulbs were purchased. Two of these bulbs at the bottom of the stairs were left on 70% of the time and died in a little over a year (NOTE: There are 8760 hrs in a year). When I asked store's customer support desk about a return, I was informed that the average lifespan, listed as 25,000 hours, is only obtainable if used less than three (3) hours per day. No refund was possible. Since the store no longer carries them, no exchange was possible. Now, the next group of bulbs are failing. This group is used on average 10 hours per week.
This was a very expensive experiment.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TXNavy 4 Pack the way to go
Have been slowly changing over to LED due to lower power consumption. Found this 4 pack and gave them a try. Turn on quickly, less than a second of wait from switch to full light. Put them in recessed fixtures exterior walkway 9 ft tall ceiling. Just the right brightness. Not to harsh. Previous review mentioned they were more like a spot than a flood. I agree, but the taller the ceiling the less noticeable it is. Price I paid made them almost a buy 2 get 2 free. Only bad thing is that this deal is only available at website. So you have to wait for delivery to store. Up to two weeks. Just wish that corporate Home Depot would allow the brick and mortar stores the option for this type of pricing.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by PAPA PRODUCT IS NOT WHAT THEY CLAIM TO BE
AFTER 18 MONTHS THE LED LIGHT BULB (ECOSMART 75 W) QUIT WORKING. THEY GUARANTEE THIS PRODUCT FOR FIVE YEARS. THE ORIGINALS FLOOD LIGHTS IN MY KITCHEN OUTLAST THE ECOSMART, IS A SHAME THAT THEY SAY THAT THIS PARICULAR LIGHT BULBS WILL OUTLAST THE REGULAR LIGHT BULB. STILL HAVE TWO LEFT IN MY STORAGE. WILL USE THEM AND GO BACK TO THE OLD LIGHT BULBS. "I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT". BAD FOR HOME DEPOT. SENT E-MAIL TO HOME DEPOT WAITING FOR ANSWERS AND SEE IF THEY ARE GOING TO REPLACE THE LIGHT BULB.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bananahead 3 failures in one year
I bought a number of these and installed them throughout my house. After one year (maybe less) three started blinking, indicating some sort of failure. They are not left on, maybe 4 hours a day. They do not last, and the only real reason to buy them and pay the premium is because they will last 10 years and use very little power.
Very unfortunate as they are nice when they work. I suspect the rest will fail in the near future.
DO NOT PURCHASE.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JESS Lamps Have Abnormally Short Life
Six of these lamps were installed in recessed ceiling fixtures that were designed to hold 60 watt incandescent lamps. Light output was very good, however, after two years four of the lamps have gone bad. They either burn out or begin blinking on and off and must be replaced. We paid the electrician who originally installed them $30 plus for each bulb. The lamps simply do not live up to claims of long lived.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hugh Burns out in just over a year
I had purchased 6 of these lights thinking that not only would I save money but I would help the environment. So far I have replaced all 6 after 13 months and now after another 12 months the replacements are starting to go have had 2 burn out already. So for a light that needs to last over 5 years it barely makes it past 1. Now I have a 234 dollar investment in a very poor product. My concern now is if I can find the receipt so hopefully they will replace these
