Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FRANCIS Beautiful lights very well made
These lights are very nice, I use them as outdoor floods and they are equivalent to 90w halogens by my standards. They are 75w equivalents but I think they hold up well to a 90w. Instant on, outdoor, wet areas, and you can dim them. They only use 14w according to packaging and 5 yr warranty. Very happy with light, Over all spread or flood is not as great as the halogen (maybe 5 - 10 degree spread difference total) but not enough to have an impact on area being lit. So not a big issue only slightly less but not enough not to buy. I wouldn't let that be a deciding factor. Very bright, white, clear light no yellow or blue hue light traditional lights. Excellent light, very well made, heavy and sturdy which feels very good in the hand. Smaller in size to halogen flood I was using and fit the par38 fixture I am using them in. I would buy these again without question I just hope they last the 22.8 yrs as listed on package. that's based on 3 hr use per day. They are pricey per bulb but I was having to replace my halogen every 2 yrs on average at $10 each verses these at $14 on sale. By my estimate they should pay for themselves in about a year or so. This is based on electricity use before replacement.
Side Note: I like the 50w as well. very nice lights as well. Very tiny compared to regular bulbs. I am using those indoors and they act as a pot light very nice effect. I was looking for a bulb that didn't have a huge spread because it has no shade available, older home, older fixture no cover or shade. This was just what I was looking for. Very nice. I am posting a pic but I don't think it does the light justice. It acts like a spot and has a very nice effect to the room overall. I am considering using these in a couple of different areas due to effect of the light. These are pricey as well but well worth the cost if they hold up on life expectancy. I would recommend these as well, The bright white is very nice its not a yellow or blue like some traditional lights but a very nice bright clear white. Reg bulbs, even fluorescent are OK, but I now prefer these. I am even considering replacing all my bulbs with LED I like the bright white very clean and clear. I have tried the daylight bright but don't like those they give a blue hue off. Standard bright gives off a yellow hue, similar to regular bulbs or fluorescent. These are a nice bright white light very clean looking and no color hues that I can determine and give off very little glow around diode so no glare effect like traditional bulbs. Highly recommend and would buy again. really impressed with light and brand. Pictures are with lights on one with flash and other without. does not do light justice.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 3000K is nicer than 5000K for task lighting
Used to be that a light bulb was a light bulb and that I simply bought low watt bulbs when I needed just a little light, to save on the electric bill, and the brightest ones I could find that would safely fit my fixtures for task lighting. I've been playing with a number of LED lamps over the past few years, and as this technology matures, I find I am becoming pickier about which lamps I prefer. I ordered one of these in 3000K and one in 5000K to see which I liked better. Both give nice bright light, but I personally prefer the 3000K over the 5000K. I installed these in a pair of matching desk lamps and switched back and forth before deciding that the 3000K lamps gave me a more desireable light for detail work and reading.
Both lamps give clear, bright light, and I would be perfectly happy with either if there was no choice, but since LED lamps should last 20 years or so, and will end up using very little electricity, it is well worth your while to buy a few different ones and make some comparisons. Put the ones you don't like so much in a basement hall way or a storage closet.
YMMV, but I will be marking down the 3000K bulbs as the ones to buy in the future for places where I need floodlights.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lbowwow Nice Bulb!
I wanted an LED bulb that I could put in the fixture above my kitchen sink. Tried several fluorescent bulbs but didn't really like the light they put out. This bulb puts out a very bight but not obnoxious light. The fixture is a recessed can light so the fit is ideal. Not only does it direct light downward onto the sink but effectively lights up the rest of the kitchen!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ivycat Very bright for a LED
I got this to replace an incandescent flood light bulb in a can light. The incandescent was nice and bright but you could feel the heat just standing under it. I screwed the PAR 30 LED into the fixture and it seems every bit as bright as the 95 watt incandescent. Obviously it is using FAR less electricity than the old bulb. The light is a nice soft color almost exactly like the old incandescent. One of the advantages of this bulb is that it just screws in and there is none of the adapters that are some times required.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Zushe LED's are the way to go
LED bulbs are the wave of the future. They last for years and use so much less electricity than old fashioned (and now mostly illegal!) incandescent light bulbs. This unit fits nicely in the place of a 75 watt incandescent flood lamp (actually, slightly smaller but not significantly), and provides all the light designed for the fixture in which it is placed. Perfect.
