Rated 2.9 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced for the quality received Purchased two bulbs roughly 1 year ago for use in standard Dock fixtures, which are protected and in an interior setting. Shatterproof long-lasting LEDs should last quite some time when used only 2-3 hours per WEEK. First bulb is already out. I can't believe the complete lack of value. Apparently you can get away with any claim of longevity if you put the words "Up to" in front of it. I suppose I'll stay away from the EcoSmart brand for "up to" 20 years. February 2, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Redesign Bought primarily because I like LED light brightness, coolness, reduced electricity usage, and the price was good / discounted. However, does not fit well in receptacle of "regular" floodlight. Gaps between LED fixture and surrounding receptacle. Not as long as original incadescent flood. Light is directed more concentrated and less flood. If used over bathroom vanity, plenty of shadow areas around mirror making it difficult to shave, for example. One of the four lights has a half second delay before it turns on. Think LED floods need more improvement. Wait a while before you buy LEDs. October 15, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NOT Dimmable, NOT Instant On I bought eight of these (yeah...not cheap) to replace incandescent flood lights in my kitchen. I bought them primarily because they are meant to be dimmable. They are not. The dimmer switch barely manages to reduce the intensity of the lighting before one light begins to flash and the others pulse. Not quite the mood I'm looking for. They are also NOT instant on as claimed....they take about one to two seconds to warm up and come on. If you are wondering why they are on sale....now you know, the information on the package is incorrect and misleading. So HD is dumping the inventory September 26, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not reliable I bought 16 of them 1 year ago. I have to use regular light bulb with them otherwise wont dim. the main problem I am having is one by one they start flashing none stop on normal use. so far 4 of them are flashing none stop I had to take them out. this is not suppose to happen. the led itself is reliable made by cree but the circuit they are using is not good. they produce nice cool lighting but the only issue for me is the quality is not good. they mentioned it will last 20 years ya right !!! well if you ask me I say take 0 off. so 2 years no more then that. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I like these a lot I bought these for my home theater room. The color they put out is excellent. Definately changes the look of the room. Plus the fact that they are focused and dimmable, allows me to watch my Projector with the lights on. The negatives of these are 1) They do take 1 second to turn on 2) They are dimmable, but will not dim on a standard dimmer. 3) The lights are more focused than standard or CFL downlights. so they are not as good for general lighting, because of the shadows that are cast 4) They are heavy, So watch out if they fall. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by would buy again...but keep in mind... pros: nice crisp led light you can't get from regular bulbs or cfls. look great. 3000k is really done nicely by this bulb. can tell its quality product. GREAT PRICE!! cons: takes half a second to come on. a bit "spotty"...rather than "floody" (will work great if you have high ceilings...might want to consider something else if you have low ceilings) Overall: I purchased over 100 of these for myself and friends...all of us are happy and would order again. (4pack for $49.99) October 22, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Last The bulbs give out decent light. They required a change of dimmer switches to be dimmable. The biggest problem is that they do not last. Of 12 originally purchased, probably 8 did not last for 2 years. They start flashing like strobe lights when they have failed. We would have been happy with them if they lasted as long as they are predicted to. March 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by As bright as the traditional flood light I am pleased with the LED lights. Great value. They are bright, fit perfectly in a traditional flood light fixture and hoepfully they will last as long as they claim. I would recommend! October 15, 2013
