I just installed this light today, but the quality seems really good and it is very bright. A little more blue than I like, but for the price and the other reviews, it is good.

I got the daylight bulb to help with colors and contrast in my garage. The quality of light is excellent and it only warms slightly during operation, which is going to be appreciated this summer. I like this bulb so much I'm going to be more light fixtures in my garage and use this bulb to brighten things up for doing real projects.

In general I am very happy with this product.. Just 15W power consumption and it produces a great output! I tested this for an outdoor application, which is where I believe this light belongs!
In my opinion, this 15W LED flood light produces an output equivalent to my 150W standard outdoor flood lights! I know the manufacturer claims this to be a 90W equivalent, but my test shows a much higher output to the naked eye, probably also due to the difference in color temperature. The light is also more uniform and fills the area in a better pattern. It is definitely a flood beam and not a spot beam as others claim - at least in an outdoor application mounted at a height of 9-10ft. Check out the pic I posted where I compare it's light output with a 150W standard outdoor flood lamp. The photos were taken with similar camera settings to provide an apple-to-apple comparison.
It says 5000k and I believe it is right. It is daylight color with a slight hint of blue. Much cooler than standard halogens but in my opinion this provides better lighting for outdoor applications and security lighting. Check out the comparison pics.
As I show in the pics, the lamp is smaller and shorter than a 150W standard outdoor flood lamp.
I did not test the dimming application, but the light is dimmable according to the manufacturer.
I haven't had the bulb long enough to comment about it's long term performance. I hope it lasts a few years to pay back it's price!
I will definitely pick up another one to replace my other halogen. In my case this bulb replaces the 150W and consumes only 10% of the energy. I will also install a dimmer to be able to dim the light when not really needed.

This gives a very crisp white (with the faintest blue tinge--to my eyes) beam in an evenly distributed flood pattern. Feels robustly made, we'll see how it handles the jungle humidity. Outdoor application: Am using it for security and general lighting needs. Near 1000 lumen spec seems accurate. Destroys the output of the 150w CFL bulb I was using, and one could even get away with less fixtures and still cover a greater area than with previous CFLs. Still, that would mean less light, and in these parts light is precious given there is no ambient light from any other source (save the moon). I can't wait to replace the rest of my CFLs with these. Instant on is also very nice. Highly recommended.

I live in an area that quite dark and with my purchase of new floodlights I feel better that I can see farther around me house even if it is just the local critter looking for food.

I replaced a 90w Halogen lamp with this unit in a motion security fixture. The color spectrum of light is higher with this lamp, as with most LED's, which is not a bad thing considering the energy savings over the Halogen. The lamp is a little heavier than the Halogen, so you may want to double check the tightness of your lamp sockets. I am very satisfied with the overall light coverage area. This is my first LED that has replaced a regular lamp. I now plan to purchase another to replace the other 90w Halogen.

Dark corner of the room is now brightly lit. We had a CFL bulb and I began hearing horror stories about how they can melt or explode and cause fires. I have begun replacing all our CFLs with LED - so much brighter and safer!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HeWhoDoesHisOwnLaundry The sun doesn't set. It just moves indoors.
With these floodlights in our torchiere lamps, our kitchen/family room becomes a cheerier place when the sun goes down. At the source, the light appears blue-tinged white but as it bounces off the ceiling and walls and into the room, it takes on a sunny hue that makes people and objects appear more natural.
They operate cooler than even compact fluorescent bulbs, so along with saving energy and lasting longer they also keep down the room's ambient temperature.
