Answer:
Thank you for your interest in EcoSmart LED lamps. These lamps operate off of 12V DC. The fixture that you will use these lamps in must have a transformer to step the input voltage down from 120V to 12V DC to operate this lamp.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Discontinued item. Was too expensive. Came in wrong base to even use. As another reviewer noted I received a two prong bulb when it was pictured as a conventional base so I've been unable to use this bulb. At this point the bulb has been discontinued and this review is simply to close out this item for the seeds program. Heavy aluminum housing and seems well enough built, but the bulb was far too expensive compared to current offerings any way. April 15, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cant find a fixture to use them in For $20 a piece for these little light bulbs I cant see where they are worth it. Even if I could find a light fixture to put them in. When I picked these for the seeds program I didn't notice that they have to have a special fixture that they plug into instead of screw in light a normal light. Since getting them I haven't been able to find the light fixture that they are made for. Since I haven't been able to actually use them I gave them a middle star rating. Except for my value rating on them. I checked that as poor since $40 for 2 light bulbs is way too much. If I ever find a fixture for them so that I can actually use them then I will come back and update this. May 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice even light This bulb gives a nice even flood with soft edges and no 'rings'. Color-wise, I found them to be a bit 'cooler' than halogen bulbs or "warm white" EcoSmart CFL bulbs. (Their color temperature is 3000K compared to 2600K for the CFLs). I'd be happy to replace all my halogens and CFLs with these LEDs, but that would be a bit pricey to do all at once. They're not cheap and will take a while to pay off, so let's hope they last as long as is claimed. December 21, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good lamps These lamps are very compact and work great in decorative fixtures. They put out a nice warm light and use very little energy. October 23, 2012
