Customer Reviews

Rated 2.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Eats veneer Maybe I got a dud, but just about everything about this didn't work right. The blades seem dull, it was more like chewing and pulling the veneer than cutting it. It has 2 blades, and mine didn't appear to be seated right, one sits much higher than the other. It also didn't move very smoothly along the wood surface, even though it was unfinished wood sanded to 220 grit, so it was smooth and didn't have any finish that would grip. Not moving smoothly was a problem as there isn't much to hold onto here. This might be ok for plastic/laminate veneers & pvc, but I would definitely look elsewhere if you plan to use it with wood. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It works fine I decided to try this despite the other two reviews. I used it to trim edgebanding on a melamine/TFL closet system i was building. I let the edgebanding sufficiently dry before trimming it and entered the edge part way in to cut diagonally in, then ran it the rest of the way keeping pressure on the forward edge of the cutter. It cut nice and flush and left a smooth cut. I wouldn't recommend using it on the ends though as it needs some surface area to cut against. Just use a razor to cut the ends. December 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just OK Have used this on about a 100 linear feet of edge banding. Would not buy again. Faster and cleaner cuts with router and trim bit. Trimmer flexes to much. Inconsistent cut depth. Frequently requires multiple passes. Inconsistent thickness in plywood will sometimes cause it to peel the veneer. Have to watch grain direction closely to avoid tear out. Better to sand small high spots then use the trimmer. June 24, 2014
