Rated 1 out of 5Â by Tic4 Extremely difficult to assemble. The metal is very flexible and it's almost impossible, even with two people holding it, to keep the assembly square while the nuts and bolts are being placed and secured. As well, one shipping box was damaged during shipping and the corners of the shelves had to be straightened before assembly. It took 2 hours to assemble the first unit and even after knowing the procedure, the second one took almost as long. Once assembled, the unit is adequate. Recommend the plastic shelving units, easy to assemble, strong and sturdy.

This product sat in my office unassembled for nearly a month. The metal shelves were made in such a way that they did not fit in the corner poles. Probably ten different people tried to help and couldn't get it together. Someone had to unassemble and start from scratch. He did get it together, but had to bend the shelves in order to get the screws in, so the shelves do not lie flat. I bought two of them, and BOTH have this same issue. Because of all the bending, one leg is about half inch shorter on each unit and is sitting on a book, even though they are assembled correctly. I recommend that Home Depot stop selling this item.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Tracy Works great for canning.
These are very sturdy shelves that hold a lot weight. I bought them for holding mason jars. They are the perfect size for jars. The only bad thing about the shelving unit is it is very difficult to put together and really require two people.

This product was exactly what I wanted. Narrow shelving not to high and capable of handling moderate weight. I had a tight spot I needed shelving in and this was perfect.
It took a bit of work to get it put together but I anticipated that. This is not the snap and go shelving. Nuts and bolt assembly required but with some patience and time, it assembled just fine.
This is thin metal and not high quality It took a bit of remodeling with pliers to get things to fit. The price reflects the quality but for the anticipated service and desired cost it fits the bill.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by EddieA Only good b/c cheaper than others with similar weight capacity and shelving but pain in the assembly.
A good shelving unit for the price if you have the time and patience to assemble it correctly. Very poorly manufactured. Some of the shelves need to be coerced into place. Watch out to make sure holes are equal spaced from ends on all legs or unit may end up uneven and force some disassembly. Use pictures to help in final steps for securing support brackets. I spent an average +4hrs per unit on assembly. I have 4 of these and they work great once assembled. Only good b/c cheaper than others with similar weight capacity and shelving but pain in the assembly.
