These shelves are not only strong and easy to assemble, they are nice to look at. They work beautifully as book shelves in my Living Room.

It's a good thing we ordered 5 shelving units since the one that left out hardware another one had extra. One box or unit was missing a small brace but again one box had an extra so after assembling all 5 units we had enough parts to complete them all. Many of the shelves were bent but the box was not damaged which tells me the shelves were put in the box bent. One person can assemble them but it's easier with two, real lose and unsteady till you get all the braces on and all the nuts tightened.
Once assembled as instructed they are sturdy for what I purchased them for shelving in the house garage. What is nice they are only 12" wide and 5 feet tall so now you can open car doors and can see what's on the top shelf. Another nice feature by being 12" wide you can see what is on the shelf's and you can custom adjust the spacing so auto detailer bottles fit nicely on the shelf. Another perk is you can flip the shelf so it has a lip and objects will not fall off. They did what I needed and were the size I wanted since a 18" X 70" utility shelf is just to big for a garage if you want to park 2 cars and open the doors.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mark1Guy Sturdy when assembled but assembly is slow.
As many reviews of this product have stated, assembly was time consuming. Holding nuts in place was difficult on the shelf edge where the sheet metal is double wrapped limiting the space you have for your fingers. Aligning the holes between the shelves and the posts was more difficult than any other brand of shelving I've assembled. Perhaps the manufacturer could form a blunt point on each of the 80 screws to help with pulling the holes into alignment. I left all braces off until all shelves were loosely in place so I could distort the assembly to get the holes to line up. After the frustration of assembly, the shelving unit is strong and serves my purpose of storing canned food. I found that you can not depend on the braces for assuring that the unit is square when all the screws are tightened. Use a framing square or measure the length diagonally corner to corner from top to bottom. When the lengths are equal the unit will be square. I'm recommending this product because it is the only one I could find in a solid metal shelf with 12" depth. All of the other shelving I researched (except IKEA) where wire shelving or more than 12" deep. The price is very reasonable. I considered shelving from IKEA but it was more expensive.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jplivinalli Product more useful than it is advertised
If have a small space unutilized and you want gain some storage space in home, this SMALL storage shelving unit is a great idea.
It is advertised as a CANNING Shelving Unit and you should know that the shelvs can't be used for heavy ítem, but it can surely be loaded with small and lights product (other tan cans).
It really works for me and if you're in my same need, the product is great.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cathie Sturdy, but is it worth the price?
This item had mixed reviews. I must say, my review will also be mixed. I didn't need heavy duty shelves for what I had planned, so I decided to risk it. When I took the shelving out of the box I thought the shelves looked rather flimsy. It wouldn't take much to crumple. The instructions were good, it's easy to figure out how everything goes together......getting it together is another thing. If you're not a person who swears, you will be by the time you finish putting these together. You will need to use some muscle to coerce lining up the hole to get the bolts in place. I was just about ready to toss the entire thing in the dumpster! (Took me about 3 hours!) HOWEVER, once everything was bolted together, it is a very sturdy shelving unit for very little money. You will need to decide for yourself if the price is worth the hassle. PS. If you want to paint these, as I did, do it AFTER putting everything together AND give everything a light sanding, even if using primer. Live and learn!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Booklady Great shelving
I am a consultant for Usborne Books & More and have a lot of inventory on hand for book fairs, booths, ect. Not only were these shelves easy for me to put together myself they serve their purpose excellently. Very pleased and will be buying more in the future for my personal stuff to be organized in the basement.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jtalameda Thin material !!!
It suited my needs. It takes about 45 minutes to put it together because there's so much bending, fixing, and aligning you have to do. I built 6 for my attic. It will only keep form after bracing is installed.
