can casters be added to legs?

Asked by: therelic1
It should be possible to attach each leg to a suitable piece of 2X stock and add casters to that. It might raise the height a bit but so would the caster wheels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and good price These do come in a pair which was unclear in the description but luckily other reviewers mentioned it. I was looking to create an inexpensive but higher than table height craft table. These were the best legs for the value that I could find anywhere! We purchased a piece of wood for the top and used the left over after the cut to create a foot board on the lower portion of the legs. Since this table was going on wood floor I added feet to the bottom to keep it from scratching. I was hoping the legs were black but they are gray but still worked for the industrial look I wanted to achieve.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good workbench legs The legs worked well for a workbench. I used 2X12s for the top, so I had to drill several new holes to secure the boards properly. Several more pre-drilled holes in the top would accomodate the variety of lumber tops I see being used for these legs. Pre-drilled holes on the legs for bracing are good. I used a 1X6 across the back. The end result was very sturdy. I could dance on the table (250 lbs) if I wanted!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product This is a great product. Used inexpensive 2X12's for top and 2X8's for shelf. This will probably support more then stated.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid legs The legs looked to be sturdy and solid. Unfortunately we had to return them not because anything was wrong it was because the Taylor top came in damaged twice and decided not to order again so we had no use for the legs. Although the first shipment of these legs came in damaged and had to reorder a second time as well. Second time cam in okay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very solid, but did have one defect. Since it was metal, I was able to pound the defect straight and still use it. Very heavy duty, and would order more items like this ,hoping they are without defect.
