The shelves are good for the price. The directions are not great, so pay close attention and you should be fine. I am a female and I was able to put together three of these by myself with no problems. For roughly half off, this shelf is worth the price. The shelves are particle board and the metal isn't the thickest, but for storing stuff in my basement, these shelves worked fine. However, DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE. You can't mention what you paid in a review, but if the shelf is priced over forty, don't do it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PB684 Assembly was a breeze!
Great price! I bought 4 to organize my garage and basement. They went together in minutes with only a rubber mallet. I was able to store a ton of stuff! My only "complaint" would be that the shelves are made of particle board and some corners chipped during assembly. This wasn't really a problem because once they were placed in the frame it wasn't an issue. I'm not sure how the particle board will hold up over time but I can always replace them with plywood in the future if it becomes necessary. Overall, I am VERY satisfied!

this was so easy to setup my 2 teenage boy's put 3 together in 45 minute's. The only tool needed was a rubber mallet. I will replace the press-board with 3/4" plywood for a stronger base.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ryan Took some "convincing" to get together
It was a little on the difficult side and took some pushing and prying to get each level to connect to each other using the supplied brackets, but once together it's a pretty sturdy unit that is holding up well so far. The levels when being constructed on their own appear to be a bit flimsy but once it's all together they seem to be tougher. The thin ply-board that makes up the bottom of each level might not hold up over time but it should be easy enough to replace that I don't consider it a huge deal. So far they're getting some pretty decent weight thrown at them on each level and they are holding up extremely well so it may be a non-issue all together.
Overall for the price I'm extremely happy with them. They're by no means the best out there, but they are leaps and bounds better than plastic shelving which can end up costing even more than these. Just remember that they're dirt cheap to buy while you're putting it together and any issues you may have tend to go away. If you need quick and easy storage in your garage I completely recommend them to you.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mjecc Great value
Fairly easy to assemble, and sturdy (assuming your floor is level). A nice feature would be rubber feet to make leveling easier. For basic storage, great product for the money.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fyreant It's working Great!
It's easy and quick to assemble, just be aware that the wood panels need to be positioned with care (often requiring you to slightly deform the metal structure so they can fit), otherwise you'll end up with a broken corner. It's particle board, after all.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Patrick NOT easy to assemble w/ couplers
If your shelving unit comes with couples, they are NOT easy to slide on - you have to pry them open, or not use them at all. Most tutorials show these shelves being put together without the couplers. Shelf will still be sturdy without the couplers.
