Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SB2580 a little banged up, but customer service made it right!
The shelves ship UPS, your driver will hate you! The boxes weigh about 115 lbs. One of mine
was partially destroyed, and particle board shelving a bit nicked, but I did not want to wait for a new
replacement. Home Depot was very accommodating, and gave me a gift credit for the damaged
goods. Their customer service awesome! The shelves are awkward to assemble, but very sturdy.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bumpa Nearly impossible to assemble
The rivets were either very difficult to fit in the slots or they would not stay in the slots - one piece never would fit. Also, 2 of the shelves had to be cut to fit.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Josh The supports are tricky
I didn't realize until I tried to assemble them that the vertical supports come in two pieces. Since I didn't have help to assemble them, this was a logistical challenge. What saved the day was using quick release clamps to brace the two vertical supports together using a third support aligned with them temporarily. Then I was able to lean the partially assembled frame up against a wall and install the horizontal supports that braced the vertical supports. The I removed the clamps and continued with the assembly. VERY poor design, splitting the vertical supports in two pieces like that. Once they are assembled, the shelves are fine, but they make it WAY more challenging to assemble than they need to.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by hdepotbyer fairly sturdy, but.....
Purchased 2 shelf systems 12/10, ( 48"W x 18"D x 72"H and 36'W x 24"D x 72"H ), and assembly was simple, but the shelf could use some diagonal bracing for the rear of the shelf. Given the cost of these shelves, this should have been included.
Shelves are not designed for free-standing use.
Also, the shelves do not include any sort of padding for the feet of the shelf columns. I would recommend at least a set of 1 5/8 " square rubber feet to protect the floor.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by AMICHIGANBUYER FAILED HOME DEPOST OF MICHIGAN SALES OPERATIONS RELEASEING INCOMPLETE SHELF
THE PINS THAT HOLD THE SHELFS DO NOT SIT ALL THE WAY DOWN WITH THE WEIGHT ON THE SHELF WITH THE HD EMPLOYEES ASSEMBLY .
THE COMPANY EDSAL FAILED TO PROPERLY PAINT THE SHELF WITH THE PRIMER PAINT SHOWING THROUGH .
THE EDSAL COMPANY NEGLIGENT IN TESTING AND BUILDING TO PLACE THE PINS IN THE RIGHT LOCATIONS TO HOLD THE SHELF TOGETHER.
THIS IS A TWO PIECE SHELF POLE SUPPORTS.
THIS MODEL DOES NOT COME WITH ONE POLE DESIGN TO HOLD SHELFS .
HOME DEPOST DID A POOR SALES JOB WORKING WITH EDSAL

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Good, but with one significant flaw
I bought two of these shelves for storage in my garage.
I didn't realize that the uprights were half height when I ordered, so each shelf unit is essentially two units that stack on top of each other. It would be easier to provide one piece uprights (the box is that long anyway) and it would make the shelves much sturdier.
The shelves went together relatively easily. I had to use pliers to unbend some slightly bent brackets, and one shelf didn't fit quite right, but was quickly fixed. I'm concerned about the long term ability of the particle board shelves to not sag under load.
I would give these shelves nearly five stars if the uprights had been one piece.
