I picked up a couple of these to help organize my storage room and my workshop. They certainly are not "Heavy Duty" shelves, as the steel is far to flexible for them to be considered such. They do work very well for storage bins, tools, hardware and camping gear, as I'm using them.
Assembly is a bit tricky due to the flexibility of the pieces and the sharper than 90 degree angle on the corners. Early in assembly, it's really difficult to keep the unit straight and it twists all over the place, sometimes popping out joints already hammered into place as you hammer others. A second set of hands to hold it straight really helps a lot for the first part of the assembly, and then it starts to straighten out and gets much easier as a few shelves are inserted. The weird angle actually seems to make the joints tighter and more solid once the whole unit is assembled, so I'd imagine that this is a design feature rather than flaw.
When it's fully assembled, the unit feels fairly sturdy and doesn't wobble on a flat floor, but having felt how easily the metal bends, I don't think I'd trust the unit with anywhere near the 4000 lbs claimed. I feel uncomfortable loading upper shelves with any heavy objects, as I can imagine that loading or unloading them might put side strain on the unit, and that seems to be where it's weakest. The lower shelves do feel sturdy enough to support some fairly heavy objects.
For a sub-100 dollar shelving unit this size ($98.97 when I purchased), I expect some quality deficiencies, but all-in-all these look quite nice for the purpose and do the trick quite nicely for helping me organize some chaotic storage.

Very sturdy and heavy.
Loved the extra shelving.
Enjoyed the cost for the sturdiness of the unit

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ryankit Sturdy and assembles in a few minutes
I recently bought two of these shelving units for my brother-in-law's new house. These were actually the second set I'd bought, the first ones about 10 years. I'd forgotten how easily they go together. Just need a hammer to tap the braces in place. No more of those hundreds of nuts and bolts that take hours to assemble. Less than 10 minutes per unit was all it took.
What is also surprising is how sturdy these are even as you just get the first shelf section assembled. Accurately machined parts that go together well and hold the shelves rigidly in place. The finished units are strong enough to stand on, too.
Can't think of anything I didn't like about them. I would buy these again if I need more shelving.

This shelving unit has built-in connectors, so it is very easy to assemble. It is best to assemble with two people. Garage use is outstanding. The shelves are strong and hold the weight of the car parts and fluids needed for storage on the shelves. Also purchased Con-Tact gripper shelf liner so that nuts, bolts, and washers, etc. stay put. Nothing rolls off.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by georg417 Easy setup, very stable, looks great
I bought these to add to the three I already owned.
They're very easy to build by yourself and compared to other shelving units, they set-up quickly.
I recommend using a rubber mallot to help "seat" the shelf inserts.

The shelving was easy to assemble. The shelving is sturdy, not only the frame, but also the shelving material.

I bought this shelving unit for me garage. It is loaded to the hilt right now and holding strong!
I really like the solid shelves vs other types with wire mesh shelves where things fall through the wire. This unit holds small items as well as large with no issues.
I would not suggest trying to assemble it by yourself, but I did and it can be done. Pay very close attention to the slots in the rials. They do have to be facing the right way or you will end up taking half of it apart to turn them the right way (Ah, life's lessons)
I would definitely recommend this product.
