Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by NevadaMike Adequate shelving; nothing special
This is a basic shelving system consisting of particle board shelves, uprights, and horizontal runners that hold the edges of the shelves. All of the uprights and runners are sheet metal, and "16 ga" does not mean "channel" or "pipe" or "tubing". There are no cross-braces, although it is surprisingly stable once assembled. The method of combining two vertical pieces into a single corner "column" is a weak point. Assembly takes two people to intially hold pieces together and to lift the shelves into the frame. For a sheet metal/particle board shelving unit, it's overpriced. It's better than most sheet-metal units, but if you're looking for something industrial grade, this isn't your product.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Josh The supports are tricky
I didn't realize until I tried to assemble them that the vertical supports come in two pieces. Since I didn't have help to assemble them, this was a logistical challenge. What saved the day was using quick release clamps to brace the two vertical supports together using a third support aligned with them temporarily. Then I was able to lean the partially assembled frame up against a wall and install the horizontal supports that braced the vertical supports. The I removed the clamps and continued with the assembly. VERY poor design, splitting the vertical supports in two pieces like that. Once they are assembled, the shelves are fine, but they make it WAY more challenging to assemble than they need to.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bartle Good enough
The dimensions of these shelves are ideal for our garage, that's why we bought them. They don't hold anything particularly heavy, just household goods, and they hold up fine. The weak point of this unit, and the reason I won't give it 5 stars, is that the vertical supports are 2 3' units stacked on top of each other rather than a single 6' support. The shelves seem stable enough but I certainly won't be putting anything heavy on the top half.
One other thing to mention, I would not recommend buying these shelves to anyone with the intention of disassembling them at a later date. The installation process involved a bit of hammering with a rubber mallet and some of the connectors deformed as a result. It holds together securely but it would be difficult to ever get apart.

The shelf unit is rated for more than the shelf will hold. If you buy this unit you MUST buy the center supports for the shelfs that does not come included. I bought the shelving unit because of the price and am buying more because of the price. I can't emphasize enough that you need to have the center support if you plan to put any weight on the shelf.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Good, but with one significant flaw
I bought two of these shelves for storage in my garage.
I didn't realize that the uprights were half height when I ordered, so each shelf unit is essentially two units that stack on top of each other. It would be easier to provide one piece uprights (the box is that long anyway) and it would make the shelves much sturdier.
The shelves went together relatively easily. I had to use pliers to unbend some slightly bent brackets, and one shelf didn't fit quite right, but was quickly fixed. I'm concerned about the long term ability of the particle board shelves to not sag under load.
I would give these shelves nearly five stars if the uprights had been one piece.
