I believe this means you can exhaust it in a recirculating mode (no outside vent needed) or have a vent hose go out to an outside wall and then vent it so that the exhaust goes outdoors and doesn't stay in the kitchen. How does one use the convection part of this microwave?

I bought this and there are NO instructions in the owner's manual on how to use the convection mode. Do you take out both the glass and plastic turntable or leave them in? Can you use the round metal shelves with convection or the rectangular shelf? How to do set the temp and time? Any info. greatly apprreciated as Electrolux was no help as they didn't know either. They need to rewrite their manual in my opinion and give some examples of convection cooking. After all, isn't this one of the major features?
Please post here with any information on how to cook convection. Thanks!

You should be able to go to the Electrolux / Frigidare website and print off a copy of owners manual. The circular racks can and should be used during convection cooking but not during the microwave cooking. Not required but I recommend removing the glass tray and turntable. Convection temp and time set using the scroll feature.

Hi, thank you for your inquiry. When using the convection feature on microwave model EI30BM60MS please note that the microwave and convection feature do not function at the same time but alternate. The low wire rack and the high wire rack are especially designed for the use during the convection feature, but please note it should not be used within the Microwave cooking feature. The glass turntable can stay in the cavity as well as the plastic turntable tray. They have been designed to be used on convection mode as well. You can turn off the turntable by pressing “turntable on-off” key once. You may then turn it on by pressing it twice. When turning the turntable off you may use it as a small “oven” and place rectangular trays in it. Please visit this link http://www.electroluxappliances.com/Kitchen-Appliances/Microwaves/Over-the-Range/EI30BM60MS.aspx which will provide you with more specified information for using your microwave and the convection feature for certain dishes. Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 208 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by do not waste your money on this model looks great. interior is very nice and shiny. Microwave works as well as any other microwave. home depot installed this unit. When i went to register it, i found it was manufactured 2 years ago - so it's been sitting on a shelf somewhere. (which may contribute to the issues). The convection oven feature does not work. Electrolux tech found some kind of bad assembly and is trying to replace it, but his comments are 'these convection ovens never work. people just use it for the microwave'. this is a very expensive 'just microwave'. The convection feature doesn't actually work, but just discolors the interior. (see pic) shame as the shiny interior was the best part. Should have gone with regular over the range microwave. March 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Major Dissappointment Purchased in February 2015 during kitchen remodel. Installed in March 2015. Unit went out the week before Thanksgiving and could not be repaired until early December. Had to borrow an old counter top to get through holidays with guests. Internal Fuse. Well Its March 30th and unit is out of service again. Same symptoms (Blown fuse) and they tell me warranty is expired. Amazingly, it doesn't go out during use, but overnight when not in use! Waiting on call from service company to set up appointment. This is my 4th over the range microwave in 18 years and the first to ever have any repair issues. Will probably replace instead of repair. Not worth the aggravation! If you purchase...better buy extended warranty! March 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love my Electrolux Appliances I now own two Electrolux appliances. The microwave is fantastic, looks sleek and snazzy and functions beautifully. Controls are responsive and little things like the extra timer that I can use for my oven are so appreciated. Although not reviewing my dryer here, it's amazing as well. Would recommend Electrolux over and over. Had both appliances for around 6 months with no issues. May 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome appliance Couldn't be happier. Made a huge difference in our kitchen. First time purchase of Electrolux and won't be the last! Over the oven microwave convection is superb!! May 13, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Want to like it but it is annoying. I have had this microwave for 2.5 years. Although I like the features there are 2 things that make this not so great. One is that the vent isn't as powerful as the marketing makes it seem. I can get over that. The second thing is that the touch buttons go out every once in a while. On ours specifically the "Fan" button will stop working and leave the fan in whatever state it currently is in. Annoying when you need it but even worse when it is on and you have finished cooking dinner and you can't get the fan off. I bought this to put over my Electrolux range I bought at the same time. Unfortunately that also has the same issues! Matching set I guess. March 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great features I love it best one I have ever had and love what it does May 13, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Perform as I expected Bought the microwave based on research of brands, features and pricing. Exceeding my expectation for both features, ease of use as well as size. If I had a suggestion it would be to incorporate a LED light as opposed to the traditional appliance light bulb April 25, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by sleek design but little complicated nice sleek design, but not happy with the door when closed sometimes the sensor will not pickup that door is closed and gives falls signal door is open, until I move handle around and light goes off or slam the door hard for the sensor to detect the door closed, then I can operate other wise will not let you operate. also the control panel is a little complicated. other than that it has lots of room and has some nice features.
