Great washer, cycle options good, really spins out extra water so drying time is minimal. BUT, the electronic are VERY sensitive. It's extremely hard to turn on. You have to hit the start button just right for it to start. Very frustrating

This washer costs a good deal less than other washers the same size. Previously I have owned two Asko washers the same size. I paid twice as much for the first one and almost twice as much for the second one. This washer offers the same features and washes as well. It is lighter weight so it is easier to move out from the wall when you want to clean behind it or for any other reason.
The washer offers a wide variety of combinations of spin speeds, number of rinses, and three temperatures. Clothes and other items come out clean and in excellent shape. The one feature I preferred in my old Asko washer was that it heated the water to a selected temperature rather than requiring a hot water hookup.
Before I purchased this washer I read the reviews. There was at least one complaint about not being able to plug the washer into the dryer rather than an outlet. I prefer plugging the washer and dryer into separate household outlets. When my first dryer went I replaced it with an Asko dryer because otherwise I would have to replace both the washer and dryer. Now I have eliminated that problem. The separate outlet feature of the pair was a feature leading to the purchase of this washer.
I also prefer the design of the companion dryer to the design of the Asko dryers I previously owned. I switched to the Electrolux pair because of the ability to empty the condensation of the dryer from an easy to remove container or to allow it to self empty. I have been emptying the drawer like container and it is very easy - much easier than emptying a dehumidifier. This feature along with the separate outlets led to my purchases and I am extremely pleased with the switch.
I highly recommend the small Electrolux washer and dryer. Both have stainless steel drums and as well as their more expensive rivals.

Read manual before operation because this item has some different options. So far like it very much. It's compact on the outside, roomy in. Quite & balances well w/out getting the shakes. I live on the 3rd level & didn't get this from my maytag. highly recommended.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PJCC Small but clean loads of laundry, quickly! Digital panel is fun, easy for arthritic hands.
Home Depot delivery attached the Pedestal. It attaches with two pieces of hardware and screws, a DIYER could do it. I was happy to have someone bring it in for me.
My first panic attack came when I mistakenly thought the machine would not run a spin cycle. There's no spin button. If you read the directions closely you can use the RINSE & SPIN cycle. When that light comes on, DESELECT FRESH RINSE. Now you have a spin only cycle for those of you who hand wash your own delicates or cashmere sweaters but need a light spin.
It helps me manage Folding and Organizing laundry to have smaller load. That surprised me.
I still have to find a commercial coin machine for bedspreads or dog beds.
I called Electrolux about the Detergent drawer. The middle of the 3 dividers in the drawers has a
tab that needs to be pressed down to bring the drawer all the way out. You need to do that so the Blue Tab in the Main Detergent, far left, can be set for either dry or wet detergent. Customer service was very polite, Jasmine registered my products for me on the phone.
The Pedestal positions the machine handle to stand about 30 inches off the ground. I have a situation that limits my use of hot water, I don't have any, so I couldn't try some of the features.
I did spend time understanding the certifications.
I don't see any CEE energy rating. One an appliance is Energy Star rated it also gets a CEE rating to show how it rates against other products. It has an NSF rating of P172. It's a rating for sanitizing clothes. The washing machine has to reduce microorganisms 99.9% when washed in the sanitizer
mode and their should be no carry over to future loads. To me sanitation levels are important when you have pets or an autoimmune disease like some forms of arthritis. or allergies. This is a lower rating than the one that sanitizes for allergies.
I washed two loads, one was dirty from pet clean up, I used bleach in the drawers. All the laundry came out smelling nice. The spin cycle was intense. Out of the machine the towels had little to no water in them.
Washed one oven mitt that had a wood ring, it kept hitting the front door, that worried me. I think that
this has more limits as to what can be washed in it. Overall the laundry was very clean and less water was used.
It's a great compact, I'm not throwing out my large tub washer yet, but I do recommend it for smaller loads. One load was several medium size towels. Still testing the limits, hopefully without breaking anything.
I've been through 3 washing machines in 5 years, not all new, keeping my cat's bedding clean. I'm really hoping this machine lasts longer than the warranty, 3 years for parts and 1 year for labor if you register before June 30, 2015.

Not having owned a front loading washer and dryer before, I am extremely happy with the overall looks, features, and performance of our new Electrolux set.
Delivery and Installation:
The delivery truck arrived with 4 large boxes consisting of the washer, dryer, and two pedestals.
All items arrived without any damage whatsoever.
It was a new experience assembling the washer and dryer onto their respective pedestals. Following the included instructions allowed us to successfully mount these units.
We did find that although the pedestal had its own instruction manual, we found ourselves going back and forth between the pedestal manual and the one included for either the washer or dryer to figure out what we were supposed to do to mount the units on the pedestals.
The delivery also included complete hookup and haul away of our old appliances, but it was getting dark out. As a result, I elected to do all the connections myself, if they could just bring the mounted appliances into the laundry room.
Installation and Connections:
The instruction manual for the washer is very well written. Following along with the manual, I had zero issues understanding what needed to be accomplished, and in what order.
I think from start to finish, it took me perhaps 30 minutes to install and connect everything needed.
Use and Observations:
This washer has so many features; it will take us awhile to go through most of them, with some perhaps not being used at all.
The display menu system is really straight forward to understand, and is not complicated.
When you turn on the power, it defaults to the Normal Wash with their associated settings preselected…These settings are preset for Spin Speed, Water Temperature, and Soil Level.
So for a Normal wash, all that’s needed is to put you detergent, fabric softener, and bleach in, and push the Start button.
Of course you can change a ton of different settings for a Normal, or any other wash selected. The manual does a really great job of explaining each setting.
There are 15 Groups you can make changes to on the touch panel. Most are a selection of two choices, whereas other Groups offer several other options for selection…As mentioned, the manual covers each one very well.
With this washer being an appliance within the Electrolux new Compact Series, everything is done in smaller quantities…So you’re putting in less detergent, fabric softener, and bleach, and of course, less clothes.
I’d love to have been able to determine how much water I used per normal wash in my old washer compared to what this washer uses.
One thing that surprised us is just how little water this washer uses within a Normal wash cycle. That is most comforting, in that with the wash size being smaller, more loads of wash will be necessary, but I honestly feel I would still be using far less water, even with the additional loads.
During the wash cycle, the washer rotates the drum clockwise for a few minutes, stops, and reverses the rotation. The stated purpose is to minimize tangling; giving you a better overall wash.
The operation of the washer is noticeably quiet…I’m talking, really quiet. Our old washer necessitated closing the laundry room door every time we did a wash. With this washer, we don’t even notice it running.
When a load of wash is completed, the clothes come out practically dry. This in part, is due to the spin cycle. The washer spins the clothes at a crazy fast spin speed of 1,400 RPM. This is great, in that the dryer isn’t working as hard to dry the clothes, so you can decrease the overall drying time.
Of all the washers we’ve had, this one is by far the best featured, quality built one we’ve owned.
The Warranty is 1-year for Parts and Labor however, Electrolux increases the warranty to 3-years for Parts, and 1-year Labor upon initial registration.
If you’re considering replacing your present laundry appliances, and can manage your laundry using a compact washer, this should certainly be on your short list for serious consideration.
Extremely pleased, and highly recommended.

I bought this unit about a month ago to replace another brands compact that had major mechanical issues twice in just a few years, and constant minor issues. This Electrolux compact has more features, more cycles, and seems like a more solid unit. I like the steam cycle, and jeans cycle, and washing times are shorter with the old unit. It seems like a unit which will hold up. I just need to learn how to use the variety of cycles and features most effectively.
