Model EIFLW50LIW is 38.5" high and with the dryer is nearly 80 inches with the stacking kit. At 80 inches that just about defeats stacking.

Excessive Vibration in Spin Cycle

Really like the washer, but mine is bouncing around a little too much while on the spin cycle! Fine when tested with no load, but every load it bounces around even on the lowest spin speed cycle. Tried evening out the cloths to balance the load, but was not that.

I was assuming it is some movement in my floor as it is a wood floor over a crawl space (no solid concrete slab). Is there a kit to slide the machine into that locks/holds it firmly in place on the floor? Or do people use straps to hold the machines down if needed?

Also are there replacements available for the adjustable leveling legs as mine almost got vibrated completely to shreds :-(

There is a selectable rinse option in this washer called 'Fresh Rinse". This feature is selected when "...additional rinsing is desired to remove excess dirt and detergent. It is recommended for heavily soiled loads or if household members have sensitive skin."

Can you please give me the minimum height requirements to stack the 24 inch washer and dryer. While the specs say that the height of each machine is 33.5 inches, the guide appears to indicate that 77 inches is needed - not sure if that is a different model or whether the stacking kit is considerably larger than expected. The precise height requirements are very important to me as I live in a 1 bedroom condo and want to replace my old washing machine and dryer which are set up using one of those stacking terrace things (not truly stackable per se). The height is very important because it is in my kitchen and needs to be able to fit under the cabinet - it is next to a refrigerator which has about 2 inches of clearance between the top and the cabinet. Also, since people say this heats a room, would there be a problem keeping this next to a refrigerator.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Failed to start within first week of receipt August 2016 - Purchased EIFLS20QSW...failed to start several times within first week...appears to be intermittent control board problem. Now, 6 months later, spin cycle shaking itself to death. Contacted them hoping to return...nope...repair only option. Requested info about whether they had re-designed the board...because now I see online a lot of negative posts about same...was informed they could not give me that information! Or send me to anyone who could! Wish I had not purchased in the first place. Knowing the aforementioned...have scheduled a repair appt with no confidence their parts have improved. September 2, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Happy We needed to replace a washer that fit under a counter top. The one we got rid of has a larger stated volume than this one, so we were nervous that this Electrolux 2.4 cu ft would be too small but it isn't. It seems like we can get the same amount of clothes into this washer as the larger one we replaced. Love all the wash cycles especially the Sanitize one and the 3 Steam cycles. Great Washer! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great little machine This is a great machine, you can stuff a full load in there, works fast and cleans really well! Nice and compact. August 2, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great washer but electronics a bust Great washer, cycle options good, really spins out extra water so drying time is minimal. BUT, the electronic are VERY sensitive. It's extremely hard to turn on. You have to hit the start button just right for it to start. Very frustrating July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Small Washer This washer costs a good deal less than other washers the same size. Previously I have owned two Asko washers the same size. I paid twice as much for the first one and almost twice as much for the second one. This washer offers the same features and washes as well. It is lighter weight so it is easier to move out from the wall when you want to clean behind it or for any other reason. The washer offers a wide variety of combinations of spin speeds, number of rinses, and three temperatures. Clothes and other items come out clean and in excellent shape. The one feature I preferred in my old Asko washer was that it heated the water to a selected temperature rather than requiring a hot water hookup. Before I purchased this washer I read the reviews. There was at least one complaint about not being able to plug the washer into the dryer rather than an outlet. I prefer plugging the washer and dryer into separate household outlets. When my first dryer went I replaced it with an Asko dryer because otherwise I would have to replace both the washer and dryer. Now I have eliminated that problem. The separate outlet feature of the pair was a feature leading to the purchase of this washer. I also prefer the design of the companion dryer to the design of the Asko dryers I previously owned. I switched to the Electrolux pair because of the ability to empty the condensation of the dryer from an easy to remove container or to allow it to self empty. I have been emptying the drawer like container and it is very easy - much easier than emptying a dehumidifier. This feature along with the separate outlets led to my purchases and I am extremely pleased with the switch. I highly recommend the small Electrolux washer and dryer. Both have stainless steel drums and as well as their more expensive rivals. May 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spin dries clothes. Numerous features Clothes are super clean and almost dry when removed from machine. May 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely Remarkable In Every Way! Not having owned a front loading washer and dryer before, I am extremely happy with the overall looks, features, and performance of our new Electrolux set. Delivery and Installation: The delivery truck arrived with 4 large boxes consisting of the washer, dryer, and two pedestals. All items arrived without any damage whatsoever. It was a new experience assembling the washer and dryer onto their respective pedestals. Following the included instructions allowed us to successfully mount these units. We did find that although the pedestal had its own instruction manual, we found ourselves going back and forth between the pedestal manual and the one included for either the washer or dryer to figure out what we were supposed to do to mount the units on the pedestals. The delivery also included complete hookup and haul away of our old appliances, but it was getting dark out. As a result, I elected to do all the connections myself, if they could just bring the mounted appliances into the laundry room. Installation and Connections: The instruction manual for the washer is very well written. Following along with the manual, I had zero issues understanding what needed to be accomplished, and in what order. I think from start to finish, it took me perhaps 30 minutes to install and connect everything needed. Use and Observations: This washer has so many features; it will take us awhile to go through most of them, with some perhaps not being used at all. The display menu system is really straight forward to understand, and is not complicated. When you turn on the power, it defaults to the Normal Wash with their associated settings preselected…These settings are preset for Spin Speed, Water Temperature, and Soil Level. So for a Normal wash, all that’s needed is to put you detergent, fabric softener, and bleach in, and push the Start button. Of course you can change a ton of different settings for a Normal, or any other wash selected. The manual does a really great job of explaining each setting. There are 15 Groups you can make changes to on the touch panel. Most are a selection of two choices, whereas other Groups offer several other options for selection…As mentioned, the manual covers each one very well. With this washer being an appliance within the Electrolux new Compact Series, everything is done in smaller quantities…So you’re putting in less detergent, fabric softener, and bleach, and of course, less clothes. I’d love to have been able to determine how much water I used per normal wash in my old washer compared to what this washer uses. One thing that surprised us is just how little water this washer uses within a Normal wash cycle. That is most comforting, in that with the wash size being smaller, more loads of wash will be necessary, but I honestly feel I would still be using far less water, even with the additional loads. During the wash cycle, the washer rotates the drum clockwise for a few minutes, stops, and reverses the rotation. The stated purpose is to minimize tangling; giving you a better overall wash. The operation of the washer is noticeably quiet…I’m talking, really quiet. Our old washer necessitated closing the laundry room door every time we did a wash. With this washer, we don’t even notice it running. When a load of wash is completed, the clothes come out practically dry. This in part, is due to the spin cycle. The washer spins the clothes at a crazy fast spin speed of 1,400 RPM. This is great, in that the dryer isn’t working as hard to dry the clothes, so you can decrease the overall drying time. Conclusion: Of all the washers we’ve had, this one is by far the best featured, quality built one we’ve owned. The Warranty is 1-year for Parts and Labor however, Electrolux increases the warranty to 3-years for Parts, and 1-year Labor upon initial registration. If you’re considering replacing your present laundry appliances, and can manage your laundry using a compact washer, this should certainly be on your short list for serious consideration. Extremely pleased, and highly recommended. May 22, 2015
