Had machine more than two years with no problems to replace ancient top loader that was putting holes in clothes and tangling things around the agitator. It took me a year to get the courage (and save) to buy the set because of the price, but I am so glad I did it! This machine is very quiet (We can eat dinner next to it while running, all you hear is quiet sloshing), and it is so pretty we actually watched it like TV the first load. The cycle chime is gentle not a harsh buzzer. Pro tips: Use oxy with pre-wash cycle, set "add water" for big loads or armpit stains or lots of dirt. This is especially important for sports gear and teens who wear Axe products. Great for king comforters, dog beds and dust-mite allergies. There are so many cycles and combinations, I advise copying the chart in the manual for quick reference. Loads are fast, wrinkling is not a problem. I think W&D combined is about as long as my old set because the clothes are spun so much drier. Lingerie/delicates wash perfectly. Be aware the manual advises washing different weight clothes in same load. If you get an error (this happened my very first too-small load and never since then), set it to rinse & spin and that will take care of it. Be sure to fill the drum at least halfway or use the 15 min. wash. My kids can wash and dry a favorite shirt in half an hour if they want it for school that morning. I don't use liquid softener (dryer sheet person), but I have used the other dispensers with no problems. I don't remove the little cups, too fussy, I just fill them in place. I use very little liquid detergent, just to the min. fill line, if that. If you fill to max line, clothes could fade. Leave door open 24 hrs to let dry out. The machine tells you when to run a clean cycle. I don't have the pedestals because I fold on a counter above the set. I sit in a chair to take the laundry out because the machines are low and cavernous. I have also used the delay wash, very handy to start a load before bed but not have it sit wet for hours before you shift it to the dryer. For the dryer, beware that "dry" means TOTALLY dry, so cotton knits may shrink. Set at "almost dry" or "damp dry" with extended tumble, or use the "wool dry" specialty cycle for low-temp drying. Steam dryer to remove wrinkles is great! Buy them both! You won't regret it!

I can' t really give a factual review until I have owned this set a bit longer. See you in at least six months :) One thing I will recommend is making sure that Home Depot sends a copper version of the part needed to install the dryer for steam. They sent a plastic one that broke right while the installers were loading up and flooded the mudroom with water. We had to complete the installation ourselves after heading to Home Depot for a replacement part.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Buster Great purchase
My last maytag front loader would shake the whole house! This machine is so quiet and does not shake at all. It does a great job cleaning the cloths. Well worth every penny. I would highly recommend.

I am thrilled with this machine! While it has a lot of features, instructions are clear, and the control panel is easy to use. The clothes come out amazingly clean. It is very quiet. It dosn't have the 'drain' hose on the bottom so many other front loaders have (which once we were aware of, avoided purchasing a machine with it).
We hope to have many long years with this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by HappyInNJ Doors reverse on both
I needed a product that the doors reversed on both washer and dryer (most brands reverse on dryer but not washer). I also was limited in depth because it's in an upstairs laundry closet. Was skeptical about purchasing a brand which I'm only familiar with vacuums! So far so good. They're quiet, minimal vibration and seems to clean and dry very well. Happy with my purchase.
