Customer Questions & Answers

Tool to tighten?

Unfortunately, the rod is now "sagging" after a few months of use and we cannot find an allan wrench/hex key size to fit, in order to tighten it back up. Can you please advise if there is a different/specific tool we need to use?
Asked by: Betsy
I would first make sure you have the anchoring screw through both the holes at top and bottom. We had a multi tool allen wrench set and were able to find the right diameter....this tool gives you the torque you need to get it good and tight also. This is similar to the one we used:

Available in chrome? For use above a standard tub in a rental. Will it fit? Can we customize the length? Is it tension mount or screws into wall?

Asked by: Keith
Hi Keith, this does come in chrome, it will fit a standard tub. This is adjustable from 50 in. to 72 in. This is not a tension mount. This is mounted to wall with screws. Here is a link of the chrome one.

Can the Rod be cut or modified so that it's less than 50"?

Customer Reviews

Adjustable Curved Shower Rod in Satin Nickel is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from What an Upgrade for a small price! Purchased two as part of the bathrooms remodel....along with some vessel sinks, lovely faucets and granite counters.....these shower rods turned two 1988 mediocre bathrooms into elegant retreats! This was a major impact for a small investment! Love the curve line of the rod....looks sophisticated! Easy to install following the included instructions. NOTE: The instructions are very ambiguous regarding the size of TILE drill bit required. We purchased one too small and struggled to get the hole large enough to accommodate the "molly" anchor. In hindsight, we would have taken the anchor and screw with us to Home Depot to get it right at the start. The bits are not cheap so unless you have them on hand, you don't want to have to buy two:)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value for the Price Replaced this product with same type of product and this one by far was easy to install. It was also sturdy and not loosely attached like other shower rod. I drilled into studs for better support than using attachments that were included. Good looking appearance after completing install.
