does the hose pinch?

does the hose pinch?
Asked by: rudy
Yes it still pinches, not as bad as some but it still pinches, which is one thing I was trying to avoid.

The specifications list this as 3/4 inch diameter, but the package label says 5/8 inch. Which is correct?

Asked by: Tim
This hose comes in both sizes, so you probably have the 5/8 inch one.

can this hose be left under pressure full time
Asked by: MDG
I never leave an unattended hose under pressure for any length of time. I even turn off my supply lines to the washing machine even those are rated at a higher burst strength. I had a flood once and I learned from that.

What are the couplings made of? Are the couplings solid copper?

Brass on the ones I bought last year that look just like this and have this label. It is a very well made hose.

Contractor Farm 3/4 in. Dia x 100 ft. Lead Free Water Hose is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 182.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Home Depot needs to stop selling this hose This hose leaked at both fittings, mostly he male end. I made sure it was the hose itself and not a bad connection with my nozzle before bringing it back to the store. Exchanged the hose, hoping it was just bad luck that I picked up the one hose with a problem, and the same thing happened with the second hose. After returning the hose for good (and buying a different brand from a competing hardware store), I checked the reviews and couldn't believe so many others experienced the same problem. It's a bad reflection on The Home Depot to keep putting this bad product on their shelves after so many returns and negative reviews that reference the same issue. Home Depot: Stop selling this hose until you either work with the manufacturer on their quality control issues or find a better 100' contractor grade hose to sell!

I bought two of these to replace "kink-free" hoses that were not safe for drinking. As we have farm animals (chickens, ducks, geese and rabbits) - it made sense to use hoses that were lead-free. One hose so far has had the same problem the others have mentioned. The male connector literally slipped right off. I tried to put it back on and it came right back off with pressure from well water. The hose is completely useless now. 60 bucks down the drain since I no longer have my receipt. It's certainly not advertised as kink-free, and you will encounter horrible kinks with this hose. DO NOT BUY THIS HOSE. Home depot should discontinue this product and find a better one that is lead-free.

I needed a hose in a hurry and bought this one because the garden department was using them. 500 PSI in a pig's eye. Like others have noted, the rubber blew right off the bib connection before I could even grab the end with the nozzle on it. I should have looked at the reviews. And if over a 3rd of the people who buy this hose say it's a piece of dog doo doo, why does Home Depot keep stocking it? Wakey wakey guys - quality over quantity, especially with something as simple as a garden hose! I think your product analysts might need some pink slips.

It has a little weight to it, but it will last a long time in this Florida heat. My soninlaw saw it and asked where I purchased it. He purchased the one that comes in that cute windup gadget and the hose quality is very poor and he has chosen this one for its replacement.
