This 100 ft Element hose has many nice features. It has heavy duty, lead free ends that accept a wrench if needed and they are corrosion free. The dark gray color will not show mildew as much as lighter colored hoses. It has an exceptionally high burst rating of 500+ psi. I like the plastic, flexible hose end guard that prevents crimping at the spigot. This hose is easy to drag around and use compared to other heavy rubber commercial grade hoses I have owned, it does kink occasionally. It is labeled "drinking water safe" that gives me peace of mind when using it to fill the kids water toys, dogs water bowl and bird baths. It comes with a “Limited Lifetime Warranty”.

Standard size garden hose fits most watering attachments. Made by Swan who has made some of the most awesome hoses in the past. This one is okay, better than most. Takes a while to unwind it properly so it doesn't want to kink as often. Once fully unwound it will still kink in a couple places but it's better than other hoses I own. The 100' length is convenient to reach most locations. Brass fittings are well made and tight. Like the lead free aspect of this hose for more healthy watering. Even the initial use of the hose did not yield high odor as with other new garden hoses I've purchased. The dark color blends into pavement well. Overall a good hose that does the trick without kinking too bad.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by preppygirl56 perfect length and does not kink
With the size of our front lawn, we needed a 100 foot hose to reach to the front walkway. The hose has the length and durability to both reach that far, and it does not kink anywhere, including at the tap.. The hose is very high quality, and built to last. The packaging says it will perform at 500 psi if needed. The hose couplings are lead free, so can supply drinking water if needed. The packaging does recommend to empty the hose after use to prevent bacteria formation if used for drinking water in the yard. The hose material is very tough and sturdy.
I like the size and the strength of this product. It does coil easily on my hose hook for storage.

This hose is advertised as “Commercial Grade, ideal for the Contractor and Serious Do-it-Yourselfer!” With 5+ acres to maintain, we qualify. This hose is more expensive but with higher quality and a better design compared to competition. If it came in a 120' length, we'd like it even better.
The hose is a nice shiny brown color, advertised as a “Greener Way To Water” because of lead-free metal ends and drinking-water safety. “Hose Armour” refers to the cleverly designed plastic relief springs that prevent kinking at the spigot and nozzle ends. Best of all, the big 1-1/2” oversized metal female coupling is easy to grab and twist.
The manufacturer recommends initially laying the hose out in warm weather to condition/straighten. It's a good idea to avoid the "kinks" that some reviewers report.
Sun does degrade plastic, so it’s best to wind and protect when not in use. My snake- fearing husband, always screws the ends together to discourage creepy crawlies and slithering things from taking refuge and being the first thing out when he turns on the faucet!

This review is for the Element “CommercialGRADE” 100’ x 5/8” garden hose.
When I was granted the opportunity to try out the “CommericalGRADE” hose I installed it in place of a 75’ hose that I’ve had for years. The 75’ was a bit too short and, when attached to my traveling sprinkler, I had to remember to move the hose half-way through the sprinkling operation.
The 100’ length was a welcome change – it fit the requirements of my yard perfectly.
The Element hose is lead free, has a burst strength of 500+ PSI, is rated as ‘drinking water safe’, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
The faucet hose end is very nice, oversized brass units that allow for a good hand grip. A nice feature when trying to connect the hose when your hands are wet.
The hose is lighter than the 75’ foot hose I used previously – I was pleasantly surprised when I lifted the hose off of the hose holder.
However, unlike my previous hose the Element 100’ hose tends to kink. To be fair it is not advertised or sold as a “kink free” hose (although it is advertised as “kink free at the spigot” according to the packaging.
That being the case, I don’t think it’s fair to deduct rating points for the propensity of the hose to kink – but buyers should be aware of the possibility that the hose will not be kink free in operation. Those looking for a kink free garden hose should, perhaps, look at a different model.
The photo below shows the hose on a wall mounted hose rack – the twists are obvious. My previous hose lay flat when hanging from the same rack.
I would recommend, perhaps, that users consider storing the Element on a hose reel rather than a hose rack; that might lower the odds of getting a kink in the hose when setting up the sprinkler.

You know when you have one of those old houses that never had the thought of watering the back forty from the front in mind when it was built, well that's mine. Houses get expensive over the years and with only a couple of outside connections it becomes not just a hassle but time consuming as well to hook together the 50'er's and the 25'er's as well as the ones that you've mended. Since quick connects have hit the market it has made it easier, but let's admit it they have their issues and consume time as well. Well I finally broke down and got two 100' hoses. This is a review for the one I'll use out back. It's commercial grade with a bursting rate of 500 PSI. I'm not sure the plumbing in my house is even close to handling that. The Brass heavy duty crush proof couplings are serious weight. Even though I just have recently owned it I was finally able to get one hose with enough water pressure all the way back to my burn pile so that I can stand fire watch without losing half the water getting to the end. So quickly able to water down the surrounding area and meeting the the approval of the Fire Marshall if he were to check on my permit. The decision now is do I want to hand coil it or take the easy way out and get a reel because that's a heck of a bunch of hose even empty.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by trarader complete piece of junk
This thing should be called the Kinkmaster 100. I threw away a hose that was kinking too much and went out to HD to buy this, and came home only to find that this kinks more than the piece of Junk ( I tried to use a better word, but the filters caught it ) I tossed out. I fought with this hose for about 2 months, and today I am taking it back as now, after fighting kink after kink, it has sprung a leak at the fitting.
I HIGHLY recommend not buying this junk. If you are going to fight kinks, why not just buy the inexpensive hoses? This is not better I promise you!

This hose is 100 feet as indicated. Our gardens are a good distance from our outside faucet so this length is just what we need. It is a nice hose. The quality is great, it is certainly heavy duty. It rolls up nice and didn't kink as we were using it. Both of the fittings are great and there were no leaks from the faucet nor the spray handle. It is a bit heavy to pull around but I would rather it be heavy and hold up than a little lighter.
