can this be used with a garbage disposal

Asked by: mockmon
Yes. Just follow the manufactures instructions. If your using your old disposal just reverse the process as you did in removing it.

What could be wrong with the faucet on this sink?

We only had this sink in our camp since 7/14. We have not used it much and now the faucet will not work right. When it is turned on the water comes through the hose and leaks all over the place.
Asked by: Sher
Lack of use, and the washers have dried out. Replace those and you're good again.

Can a disposal be added to this sink with out removing the sprayer?

I want to add a disposal but noticed it has a sprayer. can the sprayer be removed to add a breather?
Asked by: Lou
You may need to drill another hole if there isn't one that's open. It's pretty easy to drill out, because it's sheet stainless steel. The part you need to add is called an air gap.

Customer Reviews

Neptune All-in-One Top Mount Stainless Steel 33 in. 4-Hole Double Bowl Kitchen Sink in Satin is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not compatible with garbage disposal This sink is very thin and flimsy. I did not see how this could cause a problem however and bought it anyway because of the looks and the nice price of $97 dolloars. Later, however, after spending hours with a friend to install it, I tested the garbage disposal and got a rude awakening.....The garbage disposal vibrates too much when it is used. It shakes and vibrates even when taking water. Later, it vibrated so much that 2 of the pipes disconnected and water leaked out. I am thinking about getting a granite sink instead, granite would be more sturdy. I regret that I bought this sink and spent 6 hours installing it. I threw the box away, but maybe I can still return it, I don't know. I don't even want to think about it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Edit to my ealier review.............. Wanted to write a new review on this combo unit. When I originally bought this I was real happy with it. As I said I had bought it to do as a temporary sink. It's been in since like late January now. My new kitchen has been replaced and with top of the line items. However I do still use this sink pretty much daily as a spare on the other side of my house. And what I've seen since since installing it would be as follows. First review said more sound proofing would be nice......... And yes, it needs more. But it does function and work as needed. The Faucet............. It's a very cheap faucet. When you get the hot water running to it, well it starts to shake and shiver around. Hot water seems to make the seals seize up and not function properly. The Drain Baskets.......... The ones that come with the outfit............ Save yourself some time, throw those in the trash as soon as you open the box. Go back to Home Depot and buy some good ones!! The ones in the box are super cheap, mine are pitted, and flaking already. And that's in less than 9 months use. All in all....... depending on what you may use this for......... It's average maybe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice combo deal Recently had to install a temporary kitchen due to a water line break. While looking at options I chose this unit because of the price, and the fact it came as a combo that included the faucet and strainer pieces as well. So to me it was a great bargain. Two things that would make it a little better.......... 1: A little heavier sound proofing on the bottom. 2: A cutout template would have made the installation somewhat easier. As I said this went into a temporary kitchen so the counter top was new as well. It took some time measuring, and laying out my marks for the cutout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of seen for the price! This sink was very easy to install as long as you follow the enclosed instructions! This was a replacement for a sink that was installed in the 1970's. It was a very tight fit in the existing opening. I do have to admit the stainless steel feels a little rough and dull looking compared to the one I removed, which was very smooth and shines very bright. I did clean the sink very well with soap and warm water and dried with paper towels. I will be purchasing more stainless steel cleaner and polish to keep the finish in top condition. If you read the booklet it tells about staining, spotting and rusting and what to do to STOP it. I however did not use the enclosed faucet as I had purchased one already. In fact I wasn't aware it was included! All the parts were there, so no problem with that. It was very easy to install or reinstall garbage disposal, as I did and plug up the 4th hole, which I didn't need. I did caulk around the sink and the plug for the 4th hole. Remember to clean up the residue caulk quickly if you get it on the sink because of the roughness of the metal. So outside the texture of the stainless steel I have no complaints as of yet and the sink seems very sturdy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the bargain price--you get what you pay for We purchased this product in June 2012. By September, one of the sink plugs/strainers had broken into two pieces for no apparent reason. By December the faucet was leaking and continues to leak when the water is run. Last weekend the second plug/strainer fell apart into three pieces. I knew it was not top of the line, but I expected more than six months use out of it when we purchased it. Now I'm stuck either tearing out the sink/faucet to return it or replacing the parts myself. Definitely not worth the bargain price or the hassle. Don't waste your time or money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Purchase a faucet separately. I needed a sink until I do a full remodel so I purchased this combo sink and faucet. The sink itself is fine for what I paid but the faucet is of terrible quality. It leaks and my water comes out in a dribble since all the pressure is in the sprayer. I got what I paid for I guess. I will be replacing the faucet soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mostly garbage The sheet metal is very thin and feels cheap, even when the sink is installed. The faucet is very cheap and leaks. Now I either have to repair the leaky faucet or pull the whole unit out to return it.
