We purchased 2 of these, one for the basement and game room and second one for upstairs living areas. Did much better than expected and with the fan units we purchased for the 2 really circulated the heat very well.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by namethatgirl This is a excellent product. We got this for back up heating, just incase we have no electric( all electric house). I dont know what we would have done without this ..During the 2009 icestorm, it kept us comfortable, since this was the only heating source we had for 2 weeks. It was a wonderful purchase, and the price was awesome. I would highly recommend this product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ChefRich Great stove and lot of heat
I bought this stove and installed it in about 1 hour, just needed a union gas fitting on the stove to connect the gas house to, I set it up with a 20 gal tank and works flawlessly thermos ate shuts down the heat and restarts it when the temp goes down, pilot light stays lite when the flames are shut down, I turn off the uni when I am not home, but easy to restart with the push button starter.

We were part of the storm that left us without electricity for 9 days in December 09 and we have a heat pump. Well, my stove was gas and I was able to cook. There wasn't a gas fireplace around for 100 miles and kerosene just stinks too much for me. Went to Home Depot in Abingdon, VA, and they told me they were out of them in their store(even sold the display models) but I could go online and look. I did and this stove was available and I saved $80. It was hooked up in two days and we are living large. In our living room and working like a charm. We just love it. Footprint is just right and we don't need to purchase the optional blower. We turned our heat pump down to 55 and are waiting to see our next electric bill (which had doubled the previous month!). It really is a nice stove and fits into any decor. We are very happy with our purchase and Home Depot!

We have an 800 sq. ft sun room and the fireplace is just perfect for the location. We only need to set the fireplace on med. heat and we have heat to spare. Runs on NG and took me about one hour to set up. Easy to light that my 6th grade can start it up and shut it off. Worried about the smell at first, but once the fireplace was running for a few days, the smell went away. Great little unit.

Best deal out there!! We purchased this unit to install in our back room that has no heat once the unit came it was much nicer then we expected. We have natural gas so we had to convert it not to tough ( but we are both plumbers) We hooked it up out side to a BBQ hook up to burn off the new smell outside on high for two hours it help lots with the new start up smell would recommend that to all. We ended up installing it in our sunroom which is a room in the middle of our 1500 sq ft 1938 farm house single level in Santa Rosa CA it warms up the whole house in no time at all. The unit is 99.9 percent efficient we turn off our furnace which is only 80 percent efficient. The sunroom is one of my favorite rooms but due to all the windows and set off in the middle of the house it never really stayed very warm now it is great to sit and work on the labtop with the fire on while we warm the whole house. All our family and friends can not belive the amount of heat this unit puts out. Would recommend this unit to all!!!!!!!

Love this stove! Not only is it attractive it works very well. It was purchased as a backup since we have an all electric house and live in a rural area which is subject to extended periods of power outages. We unpacked the stove and had it assembled in no time at all. My husband hooked it to a propane bottle using the regulator and it worked like a charm and puts out lots of heat. The stove is rather heavy so we placed it on a 4 wheel furniture dolly which makes it very easy to move from one area of the house to the other. The only problem I see so far is that we can't turn it down to a really low flame without it going out and it does put out a lot of heat on the higher setting. The oxygen sensor works well on the stove and will shut it down when it reaches that point and restart when the oxygen levels rise.
One concern was that the calibration on the control knob has no designated starting point so you don't know where to turn the dial to lite the pilot light. It does have an igniter and makes it very easy to light once you locate the setting position for lighting the pilot light.
Don't think you'll ever go wrong with this stove!
