Answer:
The front width and depth are fine. The manual states the back width should be 18" but I bet you'd be fine.

Answer:
It's on the right. The unit comes with a 12" aluminum supply line that can be bent although it sounds like you may need to purchase a longer flex supply. Any Home Depot or hardware store has them.

Have not been able to get remote to work -- light on transmitter is lighting up, batteries all in correct positions. Can anyone advise me here? I hate the thought of calling a "help line".

Answer:
Some of the remotes/receivers lose their pre-set programming. You may need to refer to the manual to re-program.

This may sound stupid but just in case. Do you have the pilot lit? Pilot must be lit for the remote to work.

Answer:
Yes. Although this set is a "vent free" model so you'll want to close your chimney flue to get the full benefit.

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 112 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Gas Logs !!! We purchased the Savannah 18" Vent-free logs and boy they put out a lot of heat! We have them in our den which is approximately 20 x 14 and it is usually around 64 degrees in the winter time. Me & my husband prefer a warmer temperature around 73 or 74 degrees. Well once we put the logs in, it only takes about 20 minutes to heat up that space. We were hesitant to but them at first, but after checking some of the vendor prices in our area we decided to go ahead and try them. The vendors wanted 2 1/2 - 3 times as much for similar logs. My only regret is that we did not get them sooner. Awesome product! March 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice product, poor manual This log set was packaged very nicely so there wouldn't be any damage. The installation is very easy and typical for a log set like this. The grate is very heavy and sturdy but the logs are very light weight. The manual, however, is not very good. Even though there are pictures of the placement of the log pieces, they are not very well done. You still have to play around to get the them installed together and then you're not sure if they are put together correctly. The log set works as expected and generates heat as expected. The remote operates very well too. January 12, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Price For the price, these logs or OK, Me and my wife looked for a long time for logs we liked. We seen these and was worried about buying them without seeing them in person. But we took the chance. I was a little dissapointed in the looks. In the stock pictures it doesnt show that the controls are in the front of the logs and and the first thing you see when you look at the logs are the 2 knobs and a light switch in the front of the logs. The logs alot taller then most logs in order to fit the controls in the front. See my attached picture for actual logs. Also we purchased them in Sept 2012 and the date on the tag of the burner was 2008. But they work good and are good for backup heat. But again they were 1/2 the price of any other log set we had looked at. October 13, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome product I was sceptical buying without seeing them in person but I am glad I did. I don't think there has been a single day they have not been on. I leave my heat on 58 and turn them on as soon as I get home. It warms the entire house in no time and keeps it steady. My house is over 2000 sqft 2 story and it heats the entire house on low. With it on low it will be up to 68 in a short time and keeps it there even on these below 0 days. My electric bill was only 50$ last month from the furnace barely running even though its the costed year in the last 20. My gas bill is the same or just a bit less than usually because these logs are so efficient. With the cost of gas going up its a great investment that will pay for itself in no time flat. The remote is nice to turn it on and off I didn't think it would make a difference but I do really like it even though it doesn't adjust the temp. I will be buying one or two more sets for my cabin. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful logs. Easy remote. These logs have a great presentation and have a comfortable warmth They are easy to install and the remote is very simple to use. Like all artificial logs, there will be an odor the first few days while the resin burns off. This odor can be managed by temporarily cracking open two windows on opposite sides of the house and/or by opening the flu until the odor is gone. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gas fireplace replacement excellent My guy installed with no much problems! It work very good so far and it gets very hot after one hour I have to turn it off ! I gave 5 star good product for the price!!! February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Product nice and easy to work-however log #6 was broken My only complaint was that log #6 was broke when I opened the box February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easily installed, works great Product was shipped sooner than expected. Packaged nicely, no missing or broken parts. Installation was easy for my husband. Works as we expected it to. We love it! December 11, 2013
