Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice speed square This speed square (rafter square) is made of aluminum. No rust and no paint to come off. It is nice and thick. All the markings are well stamped - easy to read. It comes with rafter tables. There's also an inch mark cutout on back end and protractor marks on the hypotenuse. The only thing I do not like is the edges are a little too crisp. The thick edge also makes for a good saw guide (see my video). Made in USA, which is important to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accurate and Made in the USA This square is made out of extruded aluminum (very straight and stiff) whose plain outer edges have been CNC machined to a 45 degree angle. Since CNC machining is inherently accurate the square will stay accurate as long as you don't ding up the edges. The edges were straighter than a lot of the rulers and straight edges I compared them against. An excellent buy .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must Have Tool For Any Professional Or Diyer These speed squares have been around now for many years. This one in particular is very nice for the fact that the markings are very clear and easy to read. The finish on the tool is excellent can read up to 7 inches and has the typical degrees and measurements for hip Valley roofs and your common cuts and laying out angle degrees. One of the things that I like in particular is that it's made in America. I use this square all the time in figuring out angles degrees and tracing angels in my projects. There are many uses for the square for the fact that one who does not understand all the particulars you can get on YouTube and educate yourself on all the uses that this tool will provide. There is also a calculation engrade on the Square for these complicated angle cuts that will make it easier to figure out and with a little practice you will find yourself using this all the time. these tools are lightweight easy to carry around also a lot of professionals use this tool with a circular saw as a guide to cut a long the edge of the square and make square cuts or angle cuts using this tool to hold against the wood as they push their circular saw along the edge of the tool instead of eyeballing a long a pencil line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice square This is a sturdy rafter square. Very well made. The numbers are clearly marked with all of the usual measuring tools and calculators. I generally prefer the 12 inch size squares but the size of this tool is nice because you can easily place it in you tool belt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to read, light weight Light weight and strong, I've broken several plastic squires over the years. Don't have to worry about that with this one. Marking are easy to read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very durable with easy to read markings A quality tool all around. Heavy duty aluminum will never wear out. The markings are deep enough that you can easily see them even after pencil marks and chalk marks get embedded in the grooves. The back even has a handy calculator for all the common roof pitches. I only had one shed roof to do which it helped make it an easy job, now I can still use it as a square and for marking off miter angles. I think it is a good durable tool to have on hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid It's solid, it's accurate, it's lightweight and it's well built. I mean that pretty much checks the boxes for a rafter square. I went long enough without one but ended up on project needing to cut roofing trusses for a shed and this little guy came in handy. It now gets juggled around with various squares for quick line spacing or laying out cuts. Great addition to the tool chest.
