Rated 4 out of 5 by bendable I like the tool. My only complaint is that the ruler is not as hard as I would like. I guess all stainless is not created equal. I bought it online and the packaging was terrible September 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Time for a new one The combination square from my Great Uncle was getting very hard to read due to rust. This new square works just as good as the old one, but now I can see the smallest lines. July 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great addition to my tool inventory. I have two 12inch combo squares, but alot of times they arenot long enough, and a builders aquare is to big. So the 16inch square does the trick. August 12, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not bad, but not great. This square is about what you'd expect at its price-point. The machining isn't all that smooth and you can still see tool marks on the square's faces. The straight edge binds somewhat when you slide it if the knob isn't completely loosened. For a square, it's not very square. Testing lines drawn back to back from the same reference edge shows a little over 1/16" deviation from the bottom of the lines to the top meaning the square is about 1/32" out of square. I suppose at it's price and given that it's not being sold as a precision square 1/32" isn't much to quibble about. For general carpentry work or framing and such it's perfectly acceptable. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Quality Workmanship Square head slides easily on ruler. What else is there to say about an everyday object. July 29, 2014
