Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. Our online prices are based on a national average set by our corporate office while the store prices are based regionally. Also, stores often times offer steeper discounts on products to make room for new inventory.

Mine was also out of level on one edge - after 7 years of heavy use, but no visible damage. I contacted Empire and they stood behind their warranty. You can return it to Home Depot even without a receipt and they will replace it or get you in touch with Empire (Milwaukee) for a replacement. I was happily surprised. However, if the frame is bent, that may disqualify it based on user damage. Best to Read More

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value. Light weight. I like the product so far it is easy to use and light weight for its size since it is all aluminum. I have always wanted a long level for the big homeowner projects. This was a good value compared to others I found offered on the internet. May 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I should of double checked I've had this level for a few years now and never thought to double check how accurate it was. We do a lot in old historic houses so using a level as the final say doesn't always happen....eyeballing and level is usually the best mix. Today we were tiling bathroom walls in a newer house and kept getting different lines of level depending on which level we used. Brought it to a tool distributor and compared it to other 72 inch models. Turns out it was off by 5/8 inch over 72 inches. This level is babied so it isn't from damage and vials are epoxied in so most likely came this way. No wonder the last kitchen cabinet install had me cursing up a storm. Home depot thought they would be able to return it but was told to find my receipt or call emipire. Surprisingly I did find receipt so now to get this resolved. Who would of ever thought to check my $69 level with a beat up cheap one. Maybe this one was a fluke but it seems to be a common denominator in tools I buy from the big box stores. May 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No complaints Great level! Easy to read. Much more heavy duty than the other 6' Empire aluminum box level sold for $10 less. I actually bought that one first in store but ended up returning it as it seemed too light weight & I thought it would get damaged on the job site or in the truck. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 because it is only available online not in stores. This is odd since the 2' & 4' versions r sold in store. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by They stand behind their product This level has served me well for 7+ years; reliable, accurate and easy to read. But it recently went out if level on one horizontal edge, although I cannot see any damage to the frame. I assumed the center bubble might need replacing and contacted Empire. True to their word, they warranted the level for life and immediately decided to replace it. I have 3 of their blue line levels in 1, 2 and 6 foot and soon will get a 4 foot. These are my go to levels for getting the most accurate level determination. Great levels and great warranty. November 25, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Why blue vials?! The blue vials on this level are simply terrible. They are much more difficult to see than the yellow vials in both low-light & daylight situations. On top of that, the daggone thing is made in china (save the vials). The level is sturdy & works as well as most other levels I use, but those vials are just too much for me to bear. July 6, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by An incomplete product After purchasing the true blue 72" level and using it for a week I am not at all impressed . For the price it is a very incomplete product. It is impossible to check level at the 5ft and 6ft mark as they opted not to include levels at or near the ends of the level because you are not always standing in the center to check level or when leveling off of something. also for the price making it magnetic would have been of great use when installing a drop ceiling or working w/ steel studs. It's sad that 6' levels use to come w/ 5 levels and they were still made of 6061 Alum. and came a better price. Sincerely 20yr carpenter December 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice It is built to last. It is a good looking easy to find level. July 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This big boy makes things easy! I had a big siding project coming up and needed a safty net for those long runs of hardi. I always measure and mark each plank but after 50 feet you can get off. This 72" level from empire will save your bacon. We worked the you know what out of this thing, dragging it across hardi all day long and not even a scrape to the finish. This guy is built tough and has some of the best bubble tech on the market, easy to read fast and accurate. If your a pro you need this brand level , Empire hands down is the best. It feels hardcore, check out the video and see! July 29, 2013
