Customer Questions & Answers

Can you put a gas grill on the pavers?

Asked by: jeanG
Interesting that the other answers, including from the manufacturers are "yes." If the material is flammable, common sense says "NOT PRUDENT" to do so.

Can this product be cut with a power saw for angled areas?

Asked by: MeToo
Yes, they can easily be cut with a saw. The pavers have a reinforcement grid on their underside, so they have support throughout. However, since the 'cleats' to hold them into the ground are situated all along their edges, cutting a paver would cut off that section of cleats. Depending on the soil conditions, this might cause the paver to slant. Again, the reinforcement grid on the underside would sit on the ground well, but you might have to micromanage the 'topography' of that patch of soil to get the paver to lay flat.

Do they get hot.

I want to put them down where my dogs go to the bathroom.
Asked by: Marilyn
I don't think they'd get scorching hot or anything. I have mine in a soil basement, so they don't get touched by the sun. I can't really answer your question properly (and I'm thinking of resin playground equipment that gets really hot, so I know why you're asking).

durable enough to hold a car? or suv?

Asked by: Meaghan
Probably not — and they might shift or slant under the weight.

I am using these faux paving stones in my garden bed to provide a walk path between the various planting areas, which change from year to year. These light weight plastic pavers (with underneath stregnthening grid) provide an economical solution to using real cement pavers because it will be virtually effortless to remove the stones at season's end when I mulch the entire garden area to prepare it for winter. Replacing the pavers in spring will be much easier than if I had to move concrete pavers around (each year). This is my first season using them, so far so good, however it remains to be seen how they will hold up in the extreme heat this summer, I remain hopeful that they won't warp or melt. The 16 x 16 pavers were pricing out below the cost of actual cement pavers that size, and came right to my front door via UPS.

I used 18 pavers to cover the ground under an overhang, where only weeds would grow. Its been a month and no more weeds. Mission accomplished. They were easy to lift into place and align. The grey color matches the vinyl siding on the house. I rated it 4 stars only because I don't know if they would work well as a walking surface.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I was disappointed in this product. I expected more... I was disappointed in this product. I expected more for the price. The "pavers" are lightweight, I'll give them that but they seem flimsy and look totally artificial. The back is hollow and the pavers must be driven into the ground to secure them. Didn't solve my problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy, quick patio I needed a larger patio for some furniture that I inherited, but I didn't want to deal with digging up the yard, hauling around leveling sand, and lifting/placing heavy pavers. These lightweight pavers allowed me to create a suitable patio in minutes. I brushed sand into the cracks, which was probably not necessary. The patio has held up for a couple years now, and most of the pavers are becoming more solid-feeling as they sink into the ground (I found that they will shift a bit when you walk on them for the first month or so, but they eventually grab onto the ground and stay put). Every so often, I place another order to make my patio a bit bigger. I did have an issue where one of my chairs' leg poked through a paver, so I would not recommend these pavers for patio furniture with pointy legs. But for walking on (no more stepping in mud, yay) and holding non-pointy things, these work fine. I am lucky in that my patio area was already level; you would probably have issues installing these on ground that was not level.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy concrete pavers .... They are lightweight and easy to move around, but that's about all I can say that's positive. I suppose if you didn't care if what you laid them for was level, they would be wonderful. If they are not completely filled with dirt underneath, they give quite a bit when walking on them. Also, the gray color has a tint of blue to it. I used them for a patio and leveled the ground, but they are still shifting after a week. Next time I will go with concrete pavers. Much more durable and will stay in place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wish I never bought ! They cup in the Florida sun and float away in heavy rain . Thought they were heavier and more solid . Knew I was in trouble the 15 cases can from delivery truck on one trip dolly . When you walk on them the give and move around !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from so far so good I bought these to cover the soil around a rectangular patio, as the garden area had become too much for me.. They are not in a high-traffic area - in fact, they will probably just have a couple of potted plants on them. (They sit between concrete pavers and the fence.) I don't think I would use them to make a full-fledged patio, but for my purposes, they work fine. I especially like that they are lightweight and easy to install - just be careful taking them out of the box because the plastic teeth on each piece break off easily.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A little odd I purchased these resin pavers for a soil basement — to have dry walkways. Although the pavers are easy to place and install (they are sturdy and lightweight), when it came to walking on them, they bowed outward, sagging in the middle under my weight (I weigh all of 120 lbs). They do 'cling' well to the soil and are reinforced in the middle, so there is no question of cracking or anything. However, they didn't serve the purpose of being walked on very well. They serve the purpose of forming a platform to stand a cupboard or shelving unit or dehumidifier on very well, though. So, it depends what you want to use them for. Since most people would buy them as 'stepping stones' to walk on, I would not recommend them for that. If you need a weather-resistant 'platform' to set something on, they're perfect (and can take weight, no problem).
