Asked by: size
My local Home Depot had size 1 1/2 on special for $12.00 but I opted to pay $46.00 for a 3 gallon plant shipped from a nursery. In all honesty there wasn't that much difference in the size but I am happy with my purchase.

When can these be planted in the Denver CO

and Can be planted on the north side .
Asked by: Dila
I would recommend waiting until your area is not expecting any more snow, and have not had a freeze for a couple weeks then you should be ok to go ahead and plant

How many hours of full sun can this tolerate in zone 7b??

I would like to plant this on a South facing front yard that goes into shade at 3 pm. Would that be too much sun ?
Asked by: Reallywantsbluehydrangeas
OR, be aware you can add more hours of sunlight IF you add more watering. I've had one smack in full sun, but placed at bottom slope of my garden bed, so it caught all the water runoff and it did great. By year three, I only had to water when leaves began to visibly droop.

It's pretty IFFY growing hydrangeas in southwest Florida, but so far these are amazing! I planted them in pots on our front porch (morning sun only) AND in our lanai (afternoon sun inside screen @ 50%) and both are doing well. Came with no flowers and already have 2-4 flowers each! I'm putting a little aluminum sulfate on them because they are pink and I want them to be blue (1 tbl per gal of water when I water them). But they arrived SUPER HEALTHY and ready to bloom! Best price I found for 1 gallon "Bloomstruck" hydrangeas anywhere! Thanks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from dying after 3 days UPS threw the bixex on the porch even thiugj they were clearly marked THIS END UP. The puts weee nearly bone dry and one was all droopy and nearly dead in arrival. Ii planted them outside in miracle grow potting soil to feed them well but they dont look any better after day 3. All my other flowers are doing well so its not my soil or the weather.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You really don't want my answer I order 6 hydrangeas for my work due to a mix up we had and since hydrangeas are so expensive I can only order so many at a time. All 6 were in horrible condition when I received them, the boxes almost ripped all the leaves off, the roots were barely in the dirt, and they were almost completely dead. I think we managed to save 2.

While packaging is well designed and clearly labled -this side up! it was packed with the pot UP in the box. The plant sustained minor breakage due to this error in packing. I planted it right away and it has settled in very well. I anticipate a flourishing and colorful plant for many years.

Well I purchased a couple of these at the end of the winter and stored them in an attached garage till I was sure there were not going to be any more snow or cold spells. They arrived packaged well and were dormant. They looked like they should be a nice shape, the branches were spread evenly and uniformly. Them have been in the ground not work 3 or 4 weeks and they are just starting to sprout some new growth and leaves. I chose these because of their mature size and where I have them planted. The stores in my area did not have these specific types of hydrangeas available, they only had ones they would have got to large. I also figured that if these came and did not look nice I could easily return them to a local store. This is not the first time I have ordered plants and it won't be the last. There are a lot more choices online and generally there no issue getting them unless the weather is freezing. All the plants that I have ordered I have been happy with.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from so-so I expected them to be in better condition when they arrived. They seemed to be packaged well but not handled well at all when they arrived. They looked to be almost dead due to the time it took the ship but with two weeks of nurturing and water they have perked up and each have a new bloom
