Customer Questions & Answers

Are those logs removable?

i don't like the look of the logs on top. are those removable?
Asked by: suz
Yes the are. I originally wanted glass instead of the lava rocks and logs. However after assembling and using the fire pit, I like them. They look more like a wood fire would. We may eventually try glass when the lava rocks and logs need replacing.

Is the propane tank hookup and tank stored under the fire pit or is the tank hooked to a line outside of the pit?

Asked by: steve
Your tank is inside, behind the doors. The company supplies a black cover for the tank so it is not visible thru the doors. All the hookups are inside so what you see is exactly like the picture

Would you recommend using/not using this pit on a wooden deck?
Asked by: Rip
Hi Rip. Per the manufacturer, “Always use this outdoor fireplace on a hard, level, Non-Combustible surface such as concrete, rock or stone. An asphalt or blacktop surface may not be acceptable for this purpose. If you are able to place concrete pavers on the floor of your wooden deck, you may be able to insulate your deck from the potential heat of your fire pit. http://www.homedepot.com/s/pavers?NCNI-5 Please let us know if we can be of further. 41.2 in. Propane Gas Fire Pit with Slate Mantel is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 121.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fire pit I like this more than I thought. I was afraid the cabinet that the tank set in was going to look really cheap and it doesn't. The table top is very pretty also. It gets a little warm so you don't really need to set a drink or anything on it because it will get very warm pretty quick. The logs are a bonus to me, they look very pretty. Planning on getting some fire rock instead of lava but I haven't done that yet.

Turning it over during assembly was a two person job. Operates beautifully and looks great, good value for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Fire pit Ordered this fire pit after doing my research on-line and reading the reviews. Had the fire pit shipped to the store and picked up from there, it was well packaged to avoid any damages. It took me an hour an a half to assembly. If you have help it should take 45 mins to an hour. The slide out shelf to hold the tank is great. Easy out and in for exchanging. The fire pit is heavy once all together, will need help to move. Also there is enough space to place drinks and small plates for food. It is a nice addition to our backyard for gatherings.

The instructions are terrible, it took two hours put together and the fire pit would not stay lit. I contacted Blue Rhino customer service who walked me thru troubleshooting the unit I was informed that the thermocouple was bad and a new one would be mailed to me. Unfortunately, the thermocouple was on back order and no time frame as to when it would arrive could be provided. The assembled fire pit was loaded onto my truck and returned to Home Depot without any hassle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Fire Pit After reading every fire pit review available we decided to go with the Endless Summer pit for our covered patio. First, the courier service kept us informed of the delivery. As warned by previous customers the instructions were greatly lacking but the photos helped. Took several hours but everything fit perfectly. We also did as one person suggested, used the cardboard packing to protect the slate top and assembled upside down. Did take two of us to left it off the table. We opted to use the faux logs inspire of review warnings. Yes, they smelled at first but not having a problem now. The wide slate edge is perfect for drink glasses or small plates. We are thoroughly enjoying this fabulous fire pit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good not great Doesn't throw out as much heat as I anticipated but it's really attractive. I paid to have it assembled as it was complex. I wouldn't get it for geographic areas where it gets really cold. We've enjoyed it in temps of 38 and higher
