Purchased this patio heater to replace aging Coleman pation heater. First off, the instructions for assembly were clearly written by someone whom english is a second language. But, not too difficult to figure out on your own. Had it assembled in just over an hour.
Construction quality? Compared to my old Coleman, it is not nearly as solid and heavy. But Coleman stopped making patio heaters so I got this. I just seems kind of light weight and cheap, which i really wasn't expecting for paying $500 for.
How does it work? Works great. Fires up easily and spits out quite a bit of heat. Been using it for about a month thus far, and a on a frequent basis, and so far so good.
In sum, not sure it is worth the extra couple hundred bucks for this unit over the others, but it starts easily and does give off alot of heat. ......very nice when I am sitting out back enjoying a glass of wine(or 2, or 3) on these chilly evenings.

Bought one, it was delivered damaged. Returned to my local store. Bought a second one, it arrived damaged as well. Returned to my local store again. This item has a very poor packaging design. Will not be buying another one from this brand.

Good product-however the instruction manual is very poorly written. Some packaged parts have crossed out printed part numbers with hand written identifying numbers/letters. There are some parts that may be extra but are not labelled as such. Some packing material is inside the heating element, not easily recognized for removal. Diagrams are minimal. These factors make assembly much more confusing and time consuming than it should be.

I live in Southern California and have been using patio heaters for the past 25 years. Through the years I've tried less expensive models and have been disappointed to find that they work OK initially, but generally they don't last and you find yourself having to purchase a new one in 2 or 3 years. But I had this brand for my last heater and got about 7 or 8 years out of it so I bought it again even though it's more costly than many others. I was also attracted to the feature that the triple domes perform better when its breezey and I've found that to be true. This new heater is working great so far (to be fair, only 6 weeks to this point). One complaint - the instructions have you construct the base before the propane rod is inserted, and if you do that, it won't fit. So I ended up having to deconsruct the base, insert the rod, and the reconstruct it which added about 20 minutes to the assembly process.

I ordered two of these for our large patio. We liked the triple dome, and it does in fact radiate more heat downwards thanks also to the cone insert. Can also withstand pretty strong winds.
The cone will burn dark during the very first use, but after that no more smoke.
This unit can only be ordered online, hence you will get it delivered by the usual carriers. One heater comes in two separate boxes (1. dome & post; 2. bottom cylinder and weight). The weight in the second box is so poorly secured that if not carried correctly through shipment, it will fall onto the flimsy "commercial grade" stainless cylinder cover. We had to send one back as the damage was beyond a small dent. Luckily return is absolutely no problem at any HD store.
Assembly is relatively easy, but they could have added another set of washers to assemble the bottom piece.
The stainless steel cylinder cover on one unit already started to show rust spots after 4 weeks and a few foggy nights in the Santa Monica mountains. I expected more value for this pricey commercial grade heater.
