24 in. x 4 ft. Radiant Barrier (50-Box) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reflective panels fit my needs Found about a 10*F drop in attic temps after installing reflective panels between the 24"OC roof trusses. Still have some additional roof areas to install, so hoping to drop the temps a few more degrees. To facilitate installing the lowest panels in the low angle roof, I used a stick with rare earth magnets spaced out to line up with the steel tension rods in the panels. This allowed sliding one edge of the panel out to the lower part of the roof. I also found it worked best for me to not wear gloves while installing the panels. I could not feel where the steel rods were with gloves. Just need to use caution to avoid getting cut on the rod ends but did 2 boxes of panels with no problems. I used 3 panels on each side of the roof, which is about 22 feet wide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I installed these panels by myself between the joists of my garage roof. It took me only one day. The panels are tough and strong, but the install was surprisingly easy. I set my ladder to the side of the joist, climbed up and bowed it into position. Then I climbed down, turned the ladder facing to the panel, climbed up again and tugged the high end to pull out the buckles where the spring rods had grabbed in a sometimes non-aligned position. You tug and push the spring rods back up against the roof and work it like so and each panel aligns straight and true. Toughest area I had to do was was six joists where the gas pipe for my water heater ran along the rafters close to where roof meets wall. There, I had to bow the panel into place before the gas line, reach around the line and sharply tug the panel down to the meet with wall. None of the panels tore. I was amazed how tough these darn things are. Finished project not only looks cool, it is cool - much cooler.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Relatively easy to install. Performs as promised. Works and installs as described. Rafters that are spaced more than 3/4" or so more than they should be will require additional strategy. They can be stapled but I found if they remain flush to roof, they conduct more heat to attic. Tacking 1" x 2" strips to rafters in these situations worked for me. Otherwise, they spring into place beautifully!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and simple in the right home We started using this in our attic. It's simple to install and takes little time. The time consuming part came when we needed to make diagonal cuts for our hip roof. That was neither easy (wasn't too hard either) or timely. I wish in our attic we had done the sheets of radiant barrier and just used the staple gun. Also, our rafters weren't always evenly spaced (some needed shimming with 1/2" x 2" strips). The corners of our roof were spaced 16" centers too. (We did end up just buying a box of those, but still had LOTS of cuts.) Now, in my parents home - a nice ranch style home with a gabled roof, ridge vented; and the rafters were nicely spaced at 24" centers - this installation was a breeze. Did just under four boxes (4 sheets left over) in 2 hours. Wow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff actually works I added this to my rafters when I was also insulating the ceiling. I have a temperature laser gun and there is about a 20 degree difference between the wood and the installed radiant barrier. I have only finished about half of the rafter so far. From the part I have completed there is a major difference in heat. On a hot day it is the difference between 95 degrees and about 77 degrees with the radiant barrier installed. I purchased this product when Home Depot had it for the deal of the day and I paid $67.97 for the 50 pack. For this price it is defiantly worth it. You need to order much more of this that you think. It cannot really be cut easily like normal insulation can be. You really need to overlap the sheets at least a few inches (6" to 12") so you need to consider this when you calculate your square footage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and Easy This is the easiest install you could ask for.I had no issues at all. You bend the panel to cause the tension rods to flex, you place it between the rafters and release--it's that easy. It's also easy to re-position if you need to move it too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product. We changed attic space into a room. We have a roof ridge vent and soffit, but that was it. Installed these from the soffit to the ridgevent, leaving gap at top. Soon as you know how to bend it and push in, was very simple installation. The flow of air is going all the way to the top and out. If the roof ever springs a leak, this should send the water down to the soffit, which was a nice added benefit. We added insulation batts, butted up against it. Compared to the plastic attic ventilation channels which I had starting putting up at the beginning, these let way more more airflow in. I've been up in the roof when it's hot and the plastic ones are hot and these radiant barrier are not, so just by that alone, seems to be doing a better job reflecting heat from roof and allowing air through.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to install, but be careful I installed these on the underside of an attic roof. It was easy when the spacing was 24 inches, but some sections had an extra 2 x 4, making it a tight fit. Best to wear gloves and beware of the wires, which can scratch. You'll also need a staple gun to tuck down for a flat fit.
