Are these same as CR123a/16340

Asked by: Jack
Yes, the CR123a is listed as one of the batteries the Energizer 123 can replace. The list is in the circle on the lower right hand corner of the bubble wrap.

Is this battery a suitable replacement for the 123 3-volt lithium battery in my burgular alarm system remote motion sensor.

I understand that not all 123 3-volt lithium batteries are suitable for my intended replacement/use.
Asked by: WildWil
I can not be sure about your particular system but I know that these worked for my smoke detector and my own window and door sensors for my "burglar alarm system." If you have any doubts, I would take the old battery with you to HD and compare the batteries with your old battery. That's what I had to do. It took two trips but at least I knew I picked up the right ones. Don't make my same mistake, take your old battery!!

The battery I replaced must have been at least 7 yrs old, so that speaks well for the brand. We have replaced all of our smoke alarms' batteries at least once, and they were all 9 volt types. Turns out this alarm's battery is the hardest to get to, being the highest ceiling and rather vicarious with a ladder, so we're relieved to know the Energizer Lithium 123 batteries last so long!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Priced high I purchased this 2 pack because I only needed two of these batteries for a flashlight. I was pleased to see HD had them in store. The batteries weren't expired and work well, my only complaint is they were priced high. They have bulk packs for a much better price but again I only needed a couple. Lower the price of these, at $12 for 2 batteries that's way overpriced.

These were purchased to replace batteries in a glass break unit. After installing the new batteries there was a low battery message. This means these batteries are old and since I had already thrown away the packaging could not return. A bit disappointed for $13:(

Of course, we cannot know the new set of lithium batteries will function as long as the previous batteries lasted (5 yrs) in our security system; however, I am confident enough in the product (Energizer) to purchase the same brand name again.
