Yes, the CR123a is listed as one of the batteries the Energizer 123 can replace. The list is in the circle on the lower right hand corner of the bubble wrap.

Is this battery a suitable replacement for the 123 3-volt lithium battery in my burgular alarm system remote motion sensor.

I understand that not all 123 3-volt lithium batteries are suitable for my intended replacement/use.

I can not be sure about your particular system but I know that these worked for my smoke detector and my own window and door sensors for my "burglar alarm system." If you have any doubts, I would take the old battery with you to HD and compare the batteries with your old battery. That's what I had to do. It took two trips but at least I knew I picked up the right ones. Don't make my same mistake, take your old battery!!
