Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Always a good product!!!!! Have been using Energizers for many years,,, don't expect this new kind to be any different than good... Has been my favorite batteries for years... March 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Fine Battery This battery fits precisely in the spot where the previous battery sat. The mechanism (postal scale) had not been working since the similar previous battery went dead (after a long productive life) and now it is functioning once again. I expect that the planet will have become a rather different place in many ways by the time this battery completes its service. March 1, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by lasts from 1 to 3 years as battery backup in smoke detector In June 2011, I installed these lithium batteries in all 8 of our electric wired smoke detectors in our house, functioning as battery backups. 1 died within 6 months, 4 died between 1 and 2 years, the rest died between 2 and 3 years, just replaced the last one that made it almost 3 years. They last as backup batteries a little longer on average than alkaline, but quality seems more variable, meaning some last even shorter than alkaline. In previous 5 years, had always 1x per year replaced all the alkaline batteries during same month, and never got beeping before 1 year is up. The quality hence variable life should get better over time as the technology improves, but cost needs to come down to only 20% or more over alkaline batteries, because they simply dont last that much longer. Also they need to change the advertising to perhaps up to 3 years in smoke detectors. 8 of 8 dying in less than 1 to 3 years as battery backups in electric wired smoke detectors is no where near the marketed "up to 10 years". I am back to alkaline for now. June 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lithium 9V Battery Lithium 9V batteries last 3-5 times longer than alkaline 9V. It works pefectly for smoke alarms and music pedals. You may want to try the Ultralife 9V because it has 45% more juice than Energizer's 9V. April 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by smoke alarm battery dead bought these for a smoke alarm in hopes of staying off a 10' step ladder at two o'clock in the morning, dead in seven months, the batteries not me. February 23, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by What the 10-year claim means Arno1998, you are both wrong and right. The packaging does in fact state (in big bold letters on the FRONT of the package): "Up to 10 year back-up battery ANS in AC powered smoke detectors". So for those using one of these 9 volts in their electric smoke detectors, it does NOT mean shelf life; it means consecutive use as a back-up battery. So you are absolutely wrong in that respect. But, yes, if one of the "10 year" batteries are being used as the PRIMARY battery in an item, then it is the SHELF life that is up to 10 years. July 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A needed item to complete a job A battery that will last for 10 years is an excellent product for the smoke alarm I pruschased at Home Depot in Naples Florida. June 24, 2014
