Thank you for contacting Energizer and we will be happy to assist you.
When the LED light blinks, that usually indicates a non-rechargeable battery or a rechargeable battery that no longer will take a charge. The more a rechargeable battery is charged, the less it will hold it's charge and will eventually lose it's charging ability.

Here are a couple steps to try to troubleshoot the problem.
- Gently rub battery ends with a clean pencil eraser or cloth to remove any residue.
- Also rub the charger contacts both top and bottom.
Check the manufacture date code which is embossed on the side of the battery. It will read something like this " C0 3-09 AQ." The numbers represents the month and date the battery was made. If the date is older than 2 years, we recommend purchasing new batteries.
The most current rechargeable batteries we have are known as the Power Plus rechargeable batteries and the Universal Rechargeable batteries. Read Less

What is the charging time for Energizer 2300 or 2450 NiMH batteries and would this answer also include the Duracell 2650 mAh?

I'm buying this Energizer charger, although I already have a Duracell "15 Minute Charger". I really don't believe the Duracell is doing the job because after installing 2 freshly recharged AA batteries, within 25 or less shots the camera registers "low battery". Plus, I am NOT using a flash. Therefore, I feel like the Duracell charger is not doing the job as it should. I'm in the process of contacting the company and advising them. Meanwhile, I'll be placing my order for this unit and am hoping I receive a positive response from Energizer and/or a customer.

In regard to using our Energizer NIMH 1.2V batteries in the Duracell charger, it will be hard to say how they will perform since Energizer has not tested the batteries in other brands of chargers. If you are looking for a charger that may not take as long to charge your batteries and will shut off automatically, we would recommend the CHPRO (4-5 hours) or CHVCM4 (10-11 hours.)
