I use hundreds of these AA cells annually both in my work in Information Technology and at home for personal electronics and animated holiday decorations. When I've tried other less expensive brands they just don't have the longevity I require and end up costing me more in the long run. The 36 pack is a great value in comparison to purchasing smaller quantities. Nothing beats an Energizer.

Have installed the batteries in a flashlight and a keypad door lock and they seem to be working well but it hasn't been all that long. I chose Energizer after bad experiences with Rayovac. In two situations, the Rayovac batteries corroded very early in their life, messing up my game camera and a flashlight. That's a factor in switching to Energizer. I'm hoping for good results. Four stars for now since it's a bit early to make judgments.

I find it odd that Home Depot asks me for a review of this particular product just a few days after I purchased it. After all, it is just a package of batteries. At this point, what can I say... Well, it is a little awkward packaging and tends to flop over when you set it down. And like most products packaged into a molded plastic container, its darn annoying getting the package open and retrieving a few batteries for a particular device. You don't want to overdo it because the other batteries will roll out of the packaging and you will have a mess on your hands. You also must be careful about buying a large quantity of the same battery. Because, chances are you will be replacing dead batteries with new ones that look the same. Then half way through a battery change, you'll be saying to yourself, "wait a minute, did I mix up the good batteries with the bad?" For me, it happens every time!

In the last couple of years I noticed the Energizer has a noticeably difference durability. The Energizer, from my experience, does last longer than a Duracell battery. I used to get 5-6 months from my weather station. Now it's closer to 7-8 months. I would recommend these AA batteries.

If you have anything that runs on batteries---This is the way to go---I but these and others like the AAA And D or C or 9Volt ones-because with the grandkids toys Most of them require them-And I use them for the TV remote or smoke detectors and all kinds of helpful items--Wish it was this simple to buy these to run my van---LOL---Thanks again Home Depot

With 3 grandchildren, their electronic toys go through these faster than the kids eat Halloweencandy! At about $15 for the package, it's one of the better values I have found. Especially since that 'Wal' store sells the 24 pack at approximately the same price.
