I bought the stove in 2014. Thought I would give it 2 full winters before I reviewed. I HATE this stove. It's for an 1800 sqft house.....my house is only 1600 and it doesn't even keep my family warm let alone my whole house......and don't get me started on the LOUD blower. I replaced my solid cast iron Vogelzang boxwood stove (NEW purchase price in 2000 $150) with this stove & have REGRETTED it ever sense. You have to stand over by the stove to feel the heat. Want to go back to another vogelzang but sadly enough they do not make them anymore. So I'm stuck with this one.

This wood stove replaced a 22 year old stove for our manufactured home . Our square footage is about 1400 so I knew this stove would be a little over kill to heat the house . Stove was quite heavy and my friend and I really had a work out just getting it out of the truck and unto my front deck ,but we managed anyways. Stove heats up very nice and stays hot even if the fire dies down. Only been using it for 2 weeks now.
I really like the air wash system that keeps the glass clean. I don't think too much about that ash pan since it's rather small , instead I'll just keep using a shovel and metal pail when it's time to clean it out. I only use the blower when the stove gets really hot to help cool it down, as always I use a table fan to push air across the stove which pretty much gets every room in the house warm. As other reviewers have stated , the blower makes way too much noise. No wonder it was free. You would think a stove blower that cost over a hundred bucks would be silent . I would have returned it if I had to have paid extra for it.
Very happy with wood stove so far. I will have to cut my firewood longer and bigger splits . My old stove only would accept wood about 14 inches long and split small.

Tried to fit it's Big Brother NC30 into masonry fireplace but was to big to move and fit. Returned and got NC13 and fit inside masonry fireplace. Return of NC30 was easy, they took it back without any issue. Started small fire in NC13 last night, 60F outside, 64F inside and burned with no issue with very seasoned wood. Ordered thermometer to run around 500-600F in winter. Did not install fan because of space concerns but it would have fit. Need to think of a idea to move heat out of fireplace into room.

Purchased this stove from Home Depot after paying ever increasing propane gas prices for years. Also purchased the Triple Wall Chimney kit by Duravent for mobile homes. Everything went together very nicely. This was a first for my husband and I. Not bad for amateurs I guess.

Had picked this up myself , defiantly a two man job. Came secured on a pallet with out a scratch. Unloaded the bricks, extra legs and paper work and had to get help to load it into my suburban. A truck the pallet could just be loaded. Had the pipe professionally installed for insurance purposes. You need to have about 5 small fires increasing in size /temp to season it prior to a big burn. The paint needs to cure. Have open windows for this. I used an outside air source that works wonderful. Great viewing window and does put off very good heat. Sturdy and well built. Did come with the blower. Also has the epa secondary burn feature that works great and looks pretty cool too. Great buy for a great price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mlamaga Great stove!
We bought this stove in November 2015 and have been using it in our cabin in the mountains of So. Cal. since then. The cabin is an A frame, about 650 sq. feet on the main level plus a loft. This is a great stove, beautiful and heats wonderfully. The only thing to be aware of is the stove is a bit tough to get going, you really have to baby it along until you have a good bed of coals. The manufacturer does not recommend using a grate, but I think a very low grate or even a some rocks or pieces of brick to increase air flow might help. This is a very small issue though, as once the fire gets going, it burns like a champ. It could heat a much larger space than what we have, in fact. We bought a stovepipe thermometer to keep it in the optimal burn range, but often we are burning cooler than we ought to because otherwise the house would get too hot. Granted, the climate here is not super cold, usually the coldest is around freezing, so the stove would work in much colder climates too. It's rated for 1800 sq. feet and that sounds right. The glass door is beautiful! We will see how long the stove lasts, but for the money you can't go wrong. Comparable stoves from high end companies cost about 4x as much.
