not in NW PA or in an area that has consistent temps of below zero during winter! This stove is too small.

I'm almost positive that it is, plus the install kits for the stove to ceiling are made for manufactured homes also

We were worried about this too. Inside a crate, it fit in the back of our honda minivan. It was a challenge getting it in and out but with extra helpers it was doable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great stove, unjust negatives. Let me start by saying this is my first wood stove, with that said It was trial and error, based on others positive reviews I bought this over some of the others. my house is roughly 1300 sg ft so the stove is a little over rated but better then under. I used double wall telescopic for the stove to ceiling and triple wall straight up through the roof. it took me about 3 burns to get the hang of getting it started and maintaining a good fire, the biggest issue is getting a good updraft so hear is what I found, I have a good air tight home as all the windows in the dining and living room are new, some have complained about not being able to get her going, the trick is open the damper half to full, use a descent amount of news paper and dry kindling as a base, light it and just ever so lightly leave the door cracked open enough for a good updraft, once it starts burning enough add regular seasoned wood until you have a good burn, I use oak ot maple as its abundant in my area, when the stove pipe reaches a good temp you will get a better updraft then you can control the burn with the damper after shutting the door, the stove will put out a good deal of heat but I am not sure how long the stove will retain it as I haven't really pushed it to much its still in the low 40,s here at night. but it does heat up fairly quickly. the blower works well but is a little loud as some stated and I'm wondering if a small fan would be better in back of the stove. I had talked to customer service about updraft issues and they recommend cracking open a window or an outside air pipe attached to the lower intake port on the back of the stove if you cant get it to light up or keep a good burn, this would be a worst case scenario I think. hope this little bit of info helps because for the price its a very nice stove. also duravent and englander have great customer service!

Self installed Dec 2015 and after years of feeding a fire place I was pleased that my wood consumption dropped by 2/3rd. Other reviews that complain about inability to keep fires burning must be a wood problem or lack of proper draft due to improper or not an optimal installation. After cracking the door open per instruction, my stove creates an inferno in the fire box then maintains a nice fire to whatever level desired using the damper. Therefore, I have a hard time believing it's a stove design issue as implied in some reviews.

We replaced a VC that was installed in our home in 1983 with this Englander. Had to have a contractor install all new stainless steel flue, double wall, 6 inch Dia because the VC was eight inch and single wall and needed the flue raised higher above the crown of the roof to fix the draw problem. We live in the mountains of Colorado and always had draft issues with the old stove. Delivery was excellent and timely from HD and the contractors work was spot on. Fired up the stove to cure the paint for the first couple of times with the windows open. Now we have a reliable wood stove that heats the five large rooms that we wanted with ease. The fire is very easy to start, (not like the VC) heats up fast and the adjustment works like a charm. I can load the wood after stove is up to temp and relax for some hours instead of constantly nursing the old VC. Burn is perfect, glass is sooper clean, temp is where we want it and best of all, draw is spot on with total calm air outside in the Canyon. We also had the fresh air connected to the stove in the rear so it has its own air and not using the air from inside the house and having to keep windows cracked open like we had to do with the old stove. This was the best decision we could have made for our Mountain home and the Englander 13-NC wood stove is just the right size for our heating needs and an excellent product. It came with a fan that bolts on the rear and may use it later when it really gets down toward zero but haven't had to so far as we just use the ceiling fan. We recommend this stove highly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little stove Easy to use, but it takes quite amount of time before heating up. Once up to temperature, fire burns clean and is easy to maintain heat. Love the 2 speed blower, and found the low speed is more than sufficient moving hot air.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Wood Stove This wood stove is small for the amount of heat it puts out. It is very attractive and the blower is relatively quiet. I would definitely recommend this wood stove.
