first off you cannot beat this price. Right when I received the stove I could tell it was great quality. The description does not do it justice. this thing is a powerhouse! I am a scientist at a renewable energy laboratory to give you some credentials. this stove works in a gasification fashion to simplify the idea, it turns wood into natural gas!!!!! When used properly the flames are at the top of the stove. there is a ceramic shield that forces all the flames to burn inside. This thing works so efficiently and looks beautiful. if you need a wood stove get this one. I paired it with the magic heat reclaim system for 200$ and it produces near 125k btu. I live in Colorado at 10k ft in a 2300 sqft home. this can make my home 75 degrees at 10f. so happy so impressed. it uses very little wood and holds heat and hot embers for up to 16 hours. I cannot express how great of a purchase this is. BUY IT!!!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 1234 we are pleased with the woodstove
We picked the stove up from the store and the customer service people were great.
the stove gave options of using the pedestal or the legs but when we went to put the legs on the 2 of pedestal bolts could not be removed due to needing a deep socket that would be to big for the space.
Also the ash tray would be removed. We left the pedestal on and drilled new holes for the legs on the bottom of the pedestal. Looks great and the ash tray is usable.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dave 1st year burning...and I love this stove
I am heating a 2000 sqft with cathedral ceilings in upstate NY.
1st..you need dry wood to fire the secondaries well and get a good burn. I mean really dry...stacked and split for over a year or two dry. This is true for ALL EPA stoves...not just this one.
2nd..let it burn in the load for a while till the load is nice and warm and top of stove is approx 400F. Then cut the air way down....and you will see the secondary flames fire up.
This stove is a beast. I using it for my primary heat source in the dead of winter. I lead it full before bed. Plenty of coals in the or in at 6am. Load it again. My wife loads it at 1-2pm...and them me before bed again. If it is really cold...maybe 4 full loads per day.

We haven't had a chance to start a fire yet but I am confident this will more than heat our 1200 sq foot metal house. We have a propane wall heater and while the winters are mild here in Texas, every now and then a cold one will sneak up on us. The additional blower is well made and easy to install. Ours didn't come with legs but after reading on other forums where the legs breaking while trying to stand the stove back up we decided we didn't need them anyway. We had it shipped to the store for free and went and picked it up on our trailer with zero problems. There were 4 firebricks cracked but the company sent me free replacements within 7 days. We removed the door and took the firebricks out to get it in the house. Two strong men and a dolly, took maybe 4 minutes from trailer to house. We will have the stove pipe professionally installed to be on the safe side, this being our first wood stove. We also purchased this for the sale price of 719.00 the last week of July, what a steal. Looking forward for many years of enjoying this stove. It has great reviews all over the Internet.

The Internet ad for the stove clearly stated that the stove came with both a pedestal base as well as legs. When the stove arrived there were no legs, only a pedestal base. I contacted customer support and a few weeks later was forwarded a reply from the supplier that said "we do not manufacture this stove".
Doesn't make much sense to me. The leg base for the stove is one of the main reason fort purchase and seeing that the stove weighs 500 pounds and was delivered by freight, I guess I won't be returning it.
You should fix your product description Home Depot.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Aranyic So far great
This is going to be a very early review as we are just coming out of heating season. I got this stove at a great discount with the end of the wood burning season. The stove was delivered by truck and the trailer had a lift gate and the driver pallet jacked it straight off the trailer into our garage. (We have enough room to back a 53' trailer up to it; this isn't guaranteed however they did it and it was great)
On unpacking we had a couple firebricks that had come loose and cracked in shipping. Called support and they mailed me replacements; were great to work with.
We got a cool snap and i went ahead and did a couple burn in fires and then 1 decent long one. It was cool but not cold so we could keep the house opened up during the initial fires slowly increasing the temp and curing the paint. It did smoke a lot and stink but that's life getting a new stove we knew it was coming.
I went from a woodpro 2.0 to this stove. So far I saw much better secondaries and a much longer burn with a half full firebox. I love the ability to load the wood either direction in it which is a major reason I chose a deep stove. I'll update again in about 7 or 8 months when we are into the heart of next winter and I have more experience with it.

When my wife and I sat down and compared the Englander and a competing model from Lowes, we looked at all the pros and cons and found the Englander had a 3.5 square feet box, compared to the 1.5 at Lowes. Also the Englander is made in Virginia and the other in Canada. Once we installed it, we ran a fire for 12 hours on Thanksgiving. This brought our house up to 81 degrees while the outside temp was in the 30's. The next morning it was still 60 degrees in the room. It also comes with a blower, which circulates the warm air off of the unit. A fire was easy to start in the unit. The only negative is it weighs 475 pounds, so bring 3 friends.
