Customer Questions & Answers

what kind of hearth do you recommend
Asked by: bernie
The floor protector must have an R factor of 0.2 if installed on a combustible floor it must also extend 6 inches in all for directions beyond the stove. If the floor is non- combustible (such as concrete in a basement) floor protection is not required.

Customer Reviews

Imperial 2,200 sq. ft. Pellet Stove is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great stove This stove heats my 2600 sq foot manufactured home with no problem. Even on a low setting (2) my house maintains above 70 deg. I have tried it on setting (8) and my house heated to 82!!! Very well built. The only negative I see is the hopper is somewhat small. It will for about 1.5 bags of pellets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Review part 1 Since the home is not yet being lived in, I can only give so much of a review at this time but will add to it at a later date. I ordered this stove online for delivery to my daughter's mobile home which we are rebuilding (got it cheap and gutted it). Because it will be the primary source of heat, I got a unit somewhat bigger than she really needs. Ordering was easy enough although Home Depot could make ordering online at the store simpler if the store was allowed to take cash for online orders. The workaround for that was to use the cash to buy gift certificates and apply those toward the purchase. I received email confirmation of the order was notified when it shipped and my daughter got a phone call the day before delivery. Delivery was supposed to be between 9-5. So we had someone there all day. They arrived at 7:30pm. I'm glad I had it delivered. This thing is heavy and awkward so the delivery guy did the hardest job. It was well packaged, arrived in perfect condition and had everything with it that should be there. I picked up the stove pipe kit and we installed it today. Pretty straightforward installation and one person could handle it but an extra pair of hands come in handy especially when it comes time to put the stove in place. We did the 20 minute dry run as per manufacturer instructions and then loaded it up and ran it for real. It fires up within ten minutes and puts out serious heat within half an hour. So far, I'm pleased. Once she moves in and is using it constantly, I'll update. I put the review here because there were none and a comment had been made regarding this fact but the unit purchased, while its the same unit, has the rounded corners cabinet style.
