Customer Questions & Answers

Can the direction of the fan's rotation be reversed?

I want to use these in passageways, on the side nearest the electrical outlet. I'm assuming the fan rotation can be reversed so we are not limited to where they are placed, but I don't see anything about that in the description.

EntreeAir 5 in. Single Speed Door Frame Fan in White is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 98.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has pros and cons Pros: good design to tuck into corner of door frame, Cons: Loud and full power, mounting holes seem to be configured backwards, not allowing the fan to sit flush. I'm using a dimmer switch to slow down the fan and therefore cut the noise down. The fan is also clear plastic, which aids in making it less visible, but reliability is a concern. I also modified the power cord on one so it was less visible, but in the original state you may not like how it pokes out of the fan.

We have a basement bath and shower with no ventilation. This wonderful fan pulls in the drier air from the basement and forces it into the bath and shower area and it quickly replaces the steam and humidity with drier air. It eliminated a mold and mildew problem and we use it with every shower and let it run for about a half hour. Because this is not in a living area the fan noise was not an issue. It eliminated the need to cut holes in the foundation and install a vent with a fan. We love it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs variable speed; loud It is loud and only has one super fast speed, which would be fine in the summer. Tried to put it in the hall to draw warm air, but is too fast so put it facing the wood stove to force warm air out of an alcove. So it technically serves its purpose for the price, but have to shut it off to watch tv.

We purchased 3 of these, but the first one we installed was soooooo efficient, that I gave one to my son, and the 3rd is still in the box. Very pleased with product for pushing air throughout the house. For those who have low ceilings and no space for ceiling fans, this is the way to go!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works good Mounted it in my basement doorway to get the warm air to circulate upstairs from my pellet stove. Works great. Not as loud as I expected from other reviews but it definitely only has a high setting. No vibration on doorframe, just mounted it with the screws and it was fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Entree air 5 inch Works great. Not whisper quiet, but not annoying. Have wood stove in family room. Mounted it in a doorway to blow down a hallway to the rest of the main house. It raises temps 5 degrees. Furnace not running while woodstove and fan are going.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gimmicky Very loud and ineffective. Just a gimmick. I don't think it's poorly made, but just unrealistic. There's a reason this is one-of-a-kind.
