I was all excited to get a new LED Troffer for my building. I decided to try the LED tube troffer, but it looks like I made a mistake. After I wired the fixture and put the LED tubes in I was excited to see what this was going to look like. As you can see from the pictures, when I turned the light on, only 2 of the tubes lit up. I tried switching them around thinking I just installed them incorrectly, but nope, everytime I switched them, the same tube would not light up. Now my $99 purchase is going to cost me another $40 to replace just 1 tube!!! I guess next time I'll try a fixture with integrated LED's in the fixture, as I hear those last much longer.

I was reluctant to use LED in place of fluorescent tubes but I was very impressed by this setup. The ballast looks the same as any other one with the exception of the tubes. They have one side of LED and the other side is not lit. The bulbs pop into place like any other fluorescent light, with the exception that you cannot interchange which end goes into the ballast. You must match up the appropriate ends with the label. The light is instantly bright when turned on and makes absolutely zero noise or buzzing. Not a single flicker. Just pure bright white light. Definitely a great alternative to mercury filled fluorescent bulbs.

The 2 ft. x 4 ft. Tube Lay-in Troffer with 3 LED Tube is a good asset since it is energy efficient and also long lasting:It is virtually maintenance free.
You can be proud for the money well spent.
It is instant ON, glare free and no buzzing sound like regular fluorescent tubes.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jason31 Not a good choice, light dim and looks like old florescent
This is an easy replacement for a dropped ceiling light or for the garage. Installation is easy. The bulbs are LED, but not very bright. It ends up a dull grey color. This same company makes a back lit version for a little more that is much, much better. The T8 bulbs are a lower light output than the ones from Phillips. I would stay away from this model and get the back lit one.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by PEANUT PRETTY GOOD ALL IN ONE PACKAGE
PROS : Three LED bulbs make this light bright enough for multiple area and also energy efficient at the same time. CONS : The plastic diffuser is cheap looking and metal door that is opened to access bulbs is a little flimsy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ih82spd great light output
I don't know if you can have an easier install than t-bar (ceiling grid), so this part was simple. The light color output is really the only way someone can tell that it is an LED light. Low power consumption, easy installation. This is a no brainer. Winner

According to the Bible, on the 7th day, God said, “Let there be light”. Pretty sure back then he was using those Fluorescent shop lights with the ballast that would always die after a few months. Fast forward about 2000 years and we are in the LED era. I love LED lights. They are always fairly bright, use less energy, and you don’t have to dress up in a contamination suit if you drop one and it breaks. An led shop light is the best thing since sliced bread. No need to worry about those delicate fluorescent bulbs that would burn out frequently. I suspect that these bulbs will last much longer. This particular unit may not be the most solid piece of equipment, but it does the job and once installed you won’t have to worry too much about it breaking, just take care in replacing the bulbs and make sure the proper end of the bulb is seated in the correct end of the fixture. Installation is not that hard, just wire up the direct wire ceiling troffer like any other light fixture. Bottom line is that it is an efficient light that should last a long time. I would recommend it to anyone wanted to save energy but still have a good amount of light to work under.
