Product Overview

Made in North America from 100% recycled rubber, Envirotile has saved approximately 3 million tires from being sent to the landfill. Due to the nature of recycled materials, the tire rubber will vary from tile to tile. This variance results in each tile’s naturally unique color as well as size, equaling up to ¼ in. size difference from tile to tile. Envirotile is a floating floor system with a patented clipping system (sold separately) that provides the ease of a do-it-yourself application. These tiles can be installed on top of any existing hard surface such as wood, concrete, and patio tiles. The floating floor system is an investment, it is simple to pick up your tiles and move them to another location.

  • For use on balconies, patios, rooftops, decks, child play areas and more to create a beautiful floor
  • Each tile weight approximately 8 lbs. making it light enough to carry by hand but heavy enough to stay put in place
  • Recycled rubber tiles are noise absorbing and anti-fatigue
  • Tiles are weather and frost resistant and do not have to be removed during the winter
  • Non-skid and impact absorbing
  • Easy diy installation using patented connector clips, see installation guide and video for step-by-step instructions
  • Size variance, rotating the tiles side by side to find the best fit will help to alleviate variance issues
  • $3.55/ sq. ft. equivalent

18 in. x 18 in. Earth Rubber Flat Profile Paver is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent product, if a bit pricey I installed these on my large condo balcony as the existing boards were in poor cosmetic condition. Installation was very easy, though cutting them a bit tricky. I tried Skillsaw, jigsaw, hand hacksaw, & hand woodsaw. The jigsaw was the least difficult but it's very difficult to control its cutting path with rubber as compared with wood or metal so my lines were not very straight LOL! The surface is springy (great for barefeet), though does heat up in sunshine. Looks great. All in all, I'm very happy with this project other than that these tiles seemed to me to be expensive, especially given the surcharge for shipping costs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent solution for fixing second-level decking I chose this product to cover the stable, but splintering, deck surface of my second-level deck. The tiles were easy to work with and cut surprisingly easy with a utility knife. But, like other reviewers, I was disappointed that the tiles themselves weren't quite square and created gaps between some of the tiles. Ordering the tiles online I had hoped the shipped tiles would all be from the same color lot. Nope, 13 of the 48 I ordered were more red than the expected terra cotta color - so I laid the odd ones in a checkerboard pattern - hoping the sun will eventually even out the color. I'm going to try a few creatively placed tile clips to close up the gaps and call it done. If you're not looking for magazine-shoot perfection, this product is a good solution.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easier than I expected! I typically read reviews of products before I buy, and this time was no different. After reading the reviews and purchasing the tiles I was expecting this to be a several hour project. I only have a small patio area that I was going to tile, 12 x 13 or so, but in less than 2 hours I finished the installation. I only needed to make a dozen cuts or so and it was very easy to score them like they said in the video then apply slight pressure to flex the tile along that score and continue cutting with light pressure on the blade. Like I said, it's easier than I expected. I chose to buy a few more clips than they suggested and I used an additional two clips in a standard arrangement on all of the non-border tiles. It had the affect of keeping things more square overall. There are slight imperfections in the squareness of the tiles, and their measurements are slightly irregular as others have said, but all in all, with the additional clips I used the imperfections are spread out and very minor and really not noticed except upon close inspections. I would suggest that if your budget can afford it, buy some extra clips and stabilize the tiles. Nice product. Easy to install. Looks great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Envirotile Used on Outdoor Porch These are rubber tiles made from recycled tires. They are quite heavy and seem like they will withstand wear and tear and weather well, but I have only had them for a short time. Though the tiles are relatively easy to lay there are two caveats. First, they are not all perfectly square so you will get some gaps between tiles. I have no issue with this but some may find it bothersome. Second, I strongly recommend using a jig saw for cutting the tiles. A box cutter or carpet knife can cut these tiles, but you will find it very difficult. I used these tiles on a screened porch. The other option was to paint the concrete. I think the Envirotile was a much better way to go. It looks good and gives a much softer surface that is much more comfortable on the feet than concrete.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Like the idea of recycled tire tiles; disappointed in shipping cost and tile dimensions We were interested in the Envirotile for an outdoor patio next to our basement door because it made use of recycled material. Although I didn't think the local Home Depot would have 80 tiles in stock I expected to be able to order and pick up the tiles at the local store. However I had to order them online and pay shipping charges to deliver them to our house which amounted to an extra $1.50 per tile. The other problem came when we installed the tile in that I had planned the number of tiles based on a fairly exact measurement of 18 x 18 inches and they were not a full 18" but only about 17 3/4". Many were also not square. Some were pretty square and others were off by 1/8" to 1/4". The combination meant I needed more tiles than I had initially calculated for the area to be covered. One minor complaint is that they also didn't come with any installation instructions. I would recommend the product if the manufacturing process were improved to provide more accurate dimensions and not have to pay extra for shipping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good product, sizing a little different than expected Love the product, but a little disappointed in the sizing. Not exactly 18 inches, more like 17 3/4. Some pieces fit better if they were turned the other direction. Had to adjust the layout to accommodate the difference in size. Easy to cut with a jigsaw, but better to put in the extra effort and use a utility knife with a straight edge. Gave me a better finish, but took a little more muscle. Just did a small area this time, will do a large deck next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy solution for covering patio I tried indoor/outdoor carpeting as well as textured paint without any satisfaction. These tiles are very easy to install; a Stanley knife customized any fitting needed around posts or edging. They offer a cushioned surface and cleanup is a cinch with a garden hose. I chose the sculpted Terrace tiles for the outside edge of the patio with the Flat Profile filling the middle. Couldn't be more pleased

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love this product but am not happy with consistency of size and color. I ordered 21 of these pavers to cover the cement floor on my front porch. Love them, but, unfortunately, they were not all exactly the same size or color. Hired someone to install them, but they had to be cut, etc. Looks nice.
