Product Overview

Made from 100% recycled rubber, Envirotile has saved approximately 3 million tires from being sent to the landfill. Due to the nature of recycled materials, the tire rubber will vary from tile to tile. This variance results in each tile's naturally unique color as well as size, equaling up to 1/4 in. size difference from tile to tile. Envirotile is a floating floor system with a patented clipping system (sold separately) that provides the ease of a do-it-yourself application. These tiles can be installed on top of any existing hard surface such as wood, concrete and patio tiles. The floating floor system is an investment; it is simple to pick up your tiles and move them to another location.

  • Note envirotile is not a floating floor system for tiles that are glued or screwed in place
  • 24 in. envirotiles do not utilize the Clip System - Please view our 18 in. envirotiles if you wish to have the Clip System installation option
  • Recycled rubber tiles are noise absorbing and anti-fatigue
  • Tiles are weather and frost resistant and do not have to be removed during the winter
  • Non-skid and impact absorbing
  • Size variance: rotating the tiles side by side to find the best fit will help to alleviate variance issues

Do the 2 - 4 packs of pavers come with clips?

Looking at the descriptions for the 2 - 4 packs of pavers and it doesn't state that it does or does not come with clips. I only need 3 packs and I don't want to have to buy a pack of 144 clips.
Asked by: Amy
No. No clips are provided with these two-packs. Doesn't matter though, as these 24x24 pavers are not slotted for clips like they tell you in the installation video.

What would be the best tool to use to cut the Envirotlie Pacers?

Asked by: Dennis
A jigsaw and a patient hand is the best way. Utility knife works too but it's more difficult to do and get straight

I used these tiles to cover the front porch rather than outdoor carpeting that couldn't take the wind. The tiles don't have the slots for clips as the videos demonstrate but the weight of the tile is effective in keeping them in place. I used an industrial staple gun on the tiles in the higher traffic area to keep them in place. If you are putting them over wood make sure that you seal the wood well because any moisture that gets under the tiles does not dry quickly.. The tiles will also fade when exposed to sunlight. The product is a good idea for the environmentally conscious but I don't know how long they will last and the total cost of the tiles for the entire porch makes it rather cost ineffective if they have to be replaced every few years.

Returned item. If it were light gray in color, I would have ordered more since I liked the weight, size and feel of product.

I purchased this item online and went to the store to pick it up. The Home Depot specs say this item is 2' x 2' x .75". While the 2' x 2' is accurate within 1/2" variance as stated by the HD description, the stated thickness of .75" (3/4") is not. The HD employee gave me a tape measure and it measured .5" (1/2") thick. You get two tiles. Together the total thickness measured 1". 5 stars to the HD employee. 3 stars for the inaccurate product description.

Non consistent color and surface texture. I didn't care so much as I only was using them for a pathway across my composite deck I just installed for my dogs to cross from the back door to the back fenced yard. I am trying to keep the dogs nails from scratching the composite deck surface.

Home Depot has a youtube video showing installation of something called envirotiles. It shows that envirotiles have slits underneath and are joined with a clip. A nice neat installation. I was sold, so I bought some. No mention of other fastening was mentioned in the video. These tiles I ordered are called envirotiles, but there is no slot underneath, Instead, there are indentations that look like it was whacked with a hammer. They must be put down with either glue or screws. This is not an option in my application. I looked for a substitute, but I could not find a 24" envirotile with slots in the products you sell. I had to return the tiles, after having ordered them and waited for their delivery. I discovered that you do sell some smaller 18" envirotiles with slots in a different pattern. I may change my project and go with these in the future If I can't find some acceptable 24" tiles. Your product description for your envirotiles includes: "These tiles can be installed on top of any existing hard surface such as wood, concrete and patio tiles. The floating floor system is an investment; it is simple to pick up your tiles and move them to another location." This same wording is used in your product descriptions for 24" tiles that must be put down with either screws or glue. This statement is not true for tiles that are screwed or glued and should be corrected. The consumer is led to believe that all envirotiles use the clip system. This wording is used for those that do clip together: "Envirotile is a floating floor system with a patented clipping system (sold separately) that provides the ease of a do-it-yourself application." While this wording is not included in the tiles that don't clip together, the tiles that do not clip together are still claimed to be a floating floor system that is simple to pick up and moved to another location. This is not true when the tiles are either glued or screwed in place. Also, I am stuck with a package of clips from another vender. Home Depot sells the clips only in packages of 144. I only needed 12. Another negative. On further review, the product description for the envirotiles I ordered does mention the fastening method of glue or screws in the fine print. The video is misleading. It represents envirotiles as having a slit underneath and being joined with clips. It should warn that some envirotiles do not come with the slots underneath for joining with clips. Somebody or something screwed up a good brand. Envirotles are being advertised as a floating floor system. Consumers, like myself, are being taught not to make the mistake of associating envirotiles with floating floor system. To remedy this, all the envirotiles should be made with both the slot and the indentation. Installers could use the clip and/or the glue or screw options. Installers like options. Extra slots can be made in the larger 24" tiles if necessary. The product descriptions should include a picture of the tile underside with the slot and/or the indentation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Envirotiles We had previously bought the smaller tiles to cover a brick patio and were now looking for something to cover an old set of concrete steps. My husband came up with this idea of framing the tiles in with composite lumber. These tiles worked great as they were bigger and we liked the gray color. They cut well to fit and the extra pieces I used as stair treads on the wooden deck steps. The color is a nice dark gray and are solid without any design. They clean easily as I spray on Simple Green and then hose off. It did take a few weeks to be delivered and Home Depot had no sample to look at in the store. We took a chance and really are pleased with the results.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I Don't Like Surprises Surprise #1: Received black tiles instead of the gray described and pictured on the website. Surprise #2: There is no slot underneath the tiles to insert the tile clips (clips sold separately). I kept the tiles and they look okay and work well as a path through small rocks in the garden, but I am subtracting a star for each surprise.
