I was wondering the same thing myself. The only info that I found is that the Espoma website says, "Ideal for Citrus, Fruit, and Nut Trees"

Trees over 9 feet

I have a 25 foot avocado tree. The package specifies that "9+ Feet" trees take one full 8lbs bag. I assume at some point, a scale has to take over for trees that are much higher than 9 feet.

Should I use just one 8lbs bag, or two+ 8lb bags?
