Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Bought unit with high expectations. Received unit but remote would not work without being 3-4 feet from fireplace. Called service # on product since they ask you do that instead of returning to store. Called multiple times - never was a live person to speak to, only a recording requesting that you email them instead for faster service. So I emailed - No response from them for days. Then when their response was finally given, a new remote was shipped with promise of 3-7 biz day delivery. Did not receive for WEEKS and I kept in touch with service dept via email but they were slow (taking days in between to respond) - then when it finally came to me I HAD TO PAY THE POSTAGE FOR THE PACKAGE EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A NEW PRODUCT UNDER WARRANTY!! I paid reluctantly because I wanted this thing to work.. UNIT WAS THE SAME - NO DIFFERENCE WITH NEW REMOTE. I sent them an email demanding an explanation - NO apologies from company about postage issue or even a thought of reimbursing me the money I had to pay to get it - NO RESPONSE PERIOD.. Found out myself that the unit was poorly fabricated with the remote sensor located in a bad spot after inspecting the unit internally. Item is being returned to Home Depot.
